    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly enhance movement efficiency, reduce a construction period, and allow invert construction to be applied to a lower part of a tunnel, which is close to a tunnel face.
      SOLUTION: In the movable pier, a self-propelled mechanism 22 is arranged in a lower part of a pedestal 20 via a swing traverse means 24; an outrigger 44 is arranged in the front and rear of the pedestal 20; and a vehicle guiding platform 46 is arranged ahead of the pedestal 20. Characteristically, after invert excavation on the side of advance, the mechanisms 22 of the movable pier are installed on an already-invert-constructed surface 60 and an upper half excavated plate 50 immediately after the excavation by the ascent of the guiding platform 46, respectively; an invert concrete placing part is protected during curing of placed invert concrete; the passage of heavy equipment 52, a vehicle 54 and the like is allowed; and traverse properties of the pier are enhanced by virtue of the ascent and descent of the outrigger 44 and the traverse of the pedestal 20 and the mechanism 22 by the means 24.
