摘要： There is provided a warp knitting machine with a weft thread arrangement M having two jacquard guide bars 11 and 12. These are subject to shogging in the sense of a tricot stitch. In substantially each working cycle, a portion of the guides 13 of first jacquard guide bar 11 are displaced in the sense of a pillar stitch. The selection of the so displaced guides alters itself, but periodically. Thus certain needles 7 remain unlaid by warp threads of the first guide bar 11. The guides bar 14 of the second jacquard guide bar 11 lay warp threads around the said needle 11 left free by the warp threads of guide bars 11 while laying thread around other needles 7. This permits the provision of a patterned fabric which is exceedingly stable two-dimension.

摘要： A weft thread insertion magazine in a warp knitting machine has a pair of separated forwarding chains driven by a drive arrangement. These forwarding chains each have equidistant holders for holding transversely placed weft threads. The drive arrangement can provide the forwarding chains with a lower speed than the normal speed at which weft threads are provided to the needles, that is, at a rate less than one thread per needle cycle. In particular the drive shaft of the warp knitting machine may be connected to the forwarding chains by means of a revolution reducing arrangement. A control arrangement regulates the separation of at least the first weft thread from the others following and the presentation of this first one into the vicinity of the knitting needles. This control arrangement comprises either a weft thread presenter, a weft thread deflector or a combination of both. The control mechanism only activates the weft thread presentation or deflection during a portion of the appropriate needle cycle. In this manner the pattern repeat can be substantially increased.

A pattern thread system also forms different patterned areas both in the weft direction as well as in the warp direction. In a basis area there is provided either cloth lapping (1-0/2-3-1 or 0-1 /3-2-1). In the patterned area, a sequence is built by different lappings selected from a group consisting of pillar, tricot, cloth, satin and velvet stitches, in which the average length of the underlaps in predetermined pattern repeats is substantially similar to the underlap length of the cloth lapping. This gives rise to numerous new patterning possibilities, in particular for a Jersey fabric. In addition to a described process, a warp knitting machine is provided for making such warp knitted goods. The machine comprises, in addition to a guide bar for the formation of the ground fabric, two pattern forming jacquard controlled guide bars whose guide to guide spacing is twice as large as the space between the needles of the needle bed. Bar control arrangements for the displacement of the bars and jacquard command arrangements for the displacement with respect to individual needles, allow selection of either cloth lap or any of the previously mentioned sequences of different laps. A common warp beam may be used for both partial systems of the pattern thread system.

摘要： An arrangement can control displacement movement of a guide bar of a warp knitting machine or the like by means of a summation drive which, during the work cycle moves steering arrangements for underlap displacement and overlap displacement in a timely and appropriate manner. It comprises a first and a second overlap displacement control arrangement which operate in opposing directions and having a simultaneously operating underlap control arrangement, operating a switching mechanism which, upon choice, couples either the one or the other overlap control arrangement with the summing drive. If desired, there may be provided a third overlap displacement setting arrangement which is permanently coupled to the summation drive and optionally activated. In this manner, a variety of different overlap displacement patterns may be obtained with a lower switching frequency than once heretofore possible.

For the formation of a pile free allocation the threads of at least one pile thread system can in accordance with the pattern, be so individually controlled that upon a signal they can be laid about a first or a second needle. This may be achieved by means of a jacquard bar whose needles are individually steerable in accordance with the demands of the pattern by a jacquard arrangement. In this manner it is possible to obtain a desired patterning using a pile thread system.

The machine includes a thread positioning bar and a plurality of thread positioning sinkers mounted on the thread positioning bar. The sinkers are spaced to allow the sinkers to pass between the needles of the bed. The machine also includes at least one guide bar and a plurality of thread guides mounted on each guide bar for separately guiding the threads. The thread guides are operable by the jacquard arrangement to move longitudinally relative to said guide bar and with a component of motion in a plane alongside the needle bed. This component is sized to allow each of the threads to reciprocate between and be pulled against the interior sides of a corresponding, neighboring pair of the sinkers.

摘要： A process for the production of warp knitted fabric uses a ground guide bar (L1) and at least two guide bars (L2 and L3) with partial threading. Threads (14) of a first additional thread system are worked with a main lap, which comprises a two row repeat. Threads (15) of a second additional thread system alternate between this main lapping and a pattern lap. Thread consumption in in the pattern lap are kept the same as in the main lap by using displacements that are larger and smaller than that in the main lap. A warp knitting machine (1) for providing such a process comprises appropriate control arrangements ( 6, 7, 8) for the displacement of the ground guide bar (L1) and the additional guide bars (L 2, L3). Furthermore, a novel warp knitted fabric is produced thereby. It is thus possible, by simple means, to produce a warp knitted fabric which is differently structured both in the warp direction, as well as in the weft direction.
