摘要： A sensing sub-assembly for use with a drilling assembly includes a cylindrical body and at least one sensor coupled to the cylindrical body. The cylindrical body includes an internal flow channel extending therethrough, which is configured to channel a first fluid therethrough and a recessed cavity defined therein, which is configured to receive a continuous stream of a second fluid therethrough. The recessed cavity is coupled in flow communication with an ambient environment exterior of the cylindrical body,and the second fluid flows within the ambient environment. The at least one sensor is configured to determine characteristics of the second fluid in the continuous stream that flows through the recessed cavity.

摘要： A method for transcoding a video. First, a video is encoded into a base layer and one or multiple enhancement layers. Next, the last enhancement layer is partially decoded if an available bit-rate will truncate the last enhancement layer to be transmitted. A number of bits in the partially decoded last transmitted enhancement layer is reduced to match the available bit-rate, and the reduced bit-rate enhancement layer is then reencoded before transmission.

摘要： The present invention provides aqueous viscoelastic compositions comprising a cleavable surfactant and possibly also an electrolyte. The cleavable surfactants useful in the present invention comprise at least one weak chemical bond, which is capable of being broken under appropriate conditions, to produce oil soluble and water soluble products typically having no interfacial properties and surface activity compared with the original surfactant molecule. Further, the rheological properties of the aqueous viscolelastic composition are usually altered upon cleavage of the cleavable surfactant generally resulting in the elimination of the viscofying, viscoelastic and surfactant properties of the composition. Aqueous viscoelastic compositions in accordance with the present invention are suitable for use in oil-field applications, particularly for hydraulic fracturing of subterranean formations. Thus, the present invention also relates to a wellbore service fluid and a method of fracturing a subterranean formation. The present invention also concerns novel cleavable surfactants.
