    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for manufacturing a holographic recording medium having superior recording characteristics with reduced variation of quality among products. SOLUTION: A composition for holographic recording includes an isocyanate compound, an alcoholic compound, a recording compound, and at least one kind of curing catalyst selected from a group consisting of a zirconia-containing catalyst and a zinc-containing catalyst. The holographic recording medium includes a recording layer formed from the composition for holographic recording. The method of manufacturing the holographic recording medium includes mixing a component including the isocyanate compound and a component including the alcoholic compound under presence of at least one kind of curing catalyst selected from a group consisting of the zirconia-containing catalyst and the zinc-containing catalyst, then stirring them for 5 minutes or more, and then forming the composition for holographic recording medium into the recording layer.
