    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the heat conduction efficiency to paper sheets running on the surfaces of the hot plate by thinning the constitution of the hot plate of a double facer and facilitate the manufacture of the hot plate and the discharge of the drain generated.
      SOLUTION: The double facer to manufacture double face corrugated cardboards has a heating step in which belt-like single face cardboard and liner paper are superimposed, passed on the hot plate and glued by the pressure from the pressure belt installed above the hot plate. The hot plate 1 is composed of a thick plate having a number of straight passages 2 arranged in parallel with the width direction of belt-like paper w in it. A heating medium runs through the straight passages. The direction of the flow alternates between the straight passages next to each other. The heating medium is introduced from inlet pipes 4 installed downward near the upstream ends of the flow direction in the straight passages 2 and is discharged from outlet pipes 5 installed downward near the downstream ends of the flow direction in the straight passages 2.
