    • According to one embodiment of the invention, a system for controlling carrier leakage in a communications device is provided. The system includes a first mixer unit operable to receive a first signal, to convert the first signal into a second signal having a higher frequency than the first signal, and to transmit the second signal. The system also includes a second mixer unit. The second mixer unit is operable to receive the second signal, to convert the second signal into an in-phase signal and a quadrature signal each having lower frequency than the second signal, and to transmit the in-phase signal and the quadrature signal. The system also includes a processor coupled to the first mixer and the second mixer. The processor is operable to perform a leakage reduction procedure by receiving the in-phase signal and the quadrature signal from the second mixer, sampling the in-phase signal and the quadrature signal, determining that a result from the sampling is not equal to a predetermined value, initiating a transmission of a direct current offset signal to the first mixer unit, and adjusting a voltage of the direct current offset signal until a next result of the sampling approximately equals the predetermined value.

    • In embodiments, apparatuses, methods and storage media are described that are associated with controlling production of images on a camera. In embodiments, a device with a camera, such as a content consumption device, may determine a current orientation of the camera and may adjust production of images from the camera to account for the orientation. The device may determine the orientation based on physical data, such as data from an accelerometer, compass, and/or gyroscope. the device may also determine the orientation from image data. The device may adjust production of images by either before capture, such as by physically adjusting the orientation of the camera, or after capture, such as by panning, tilting, and/or zooming captured images. In embodiments, a remote control and a content player may be configured to facilitate a secured pairing process. The remote control may be configured to send non-secured signals (such as through an IR transmitter) as well as send and receive secured signals (such as via Bluetooth™ using an RF transceiver). The remote control, in response to being turned on or asked to pair, may send a pairing request to the player that includes an identifier for the remote control and which identifies the remote control as an eligible pairing device without requiring separate entry of a security code by a user.     • A system synchronizes digital messages from one user's multiple digital message accounts into one mailbox. The user identifies the message accounts from which digital messages are to be aggregated. When a new digital message arrives for one of the message accounts, a server providing the message-dependent storage sends an arrival notification to a synchronization system, or is accessed by the synchronization system at various points to check for message arrival, when notification is not forthcoming. Upon determining the arrival of a new digital message, the synchronization system retrieves the new digital message(s) and stores the retrieved message(s) in an integrated mailbox provided by the synchronization system, so that messages from various digital message accounts are collected into the integrated mailbox. This allows the user to manipulate messages in each of the individual accounts using the integrated mailbox without having to access the various accounts individually.
