摘要： PURPOSE:To increase critical current density of the title cable and prevent rupture and deterioration of the cable at the time of drawing process while retaining void ratio by using a seamless cupronickel pipe for a coolant flowing pipe for a forced cooling type superconductive cable. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of superconductive element wires 23 are twisted, a plurality of the twisted wires are further twisted, and after repeating the processes, a stainless tape 24 is wound on the twisted wires 22 which sums up to such as 324. The twisted wires 22 are increased into a leading pipe 21 of an annealed cupronickel (Cu-10wt.% Ni) prepared by drawing process. To insert the wires 22, a dummy plastic wire to which the superconductive element wires 23 are attached on the end is inserted into the pipe 21 and pulled so as to insert the element wires 23. The pipe is then drawn into a prescribed diameter. Since the pipe 21 is seamless, airtightness inspection of the cable is not needed and thus production efficiency is improved. Void ratio is retained by using a thin leading pipe by drawing and critical current density of the cable is increased. Rupture of the element wires is prevented owing to an extremely small difference of the lengths of the leading pipe and the element wires at the time of drawing.

摘要： PURPOSE:To quantize an axial clamping force and to generate a stable high magnetic field by applying a predetermined external load exceeding a maximum axial electromagnetic force predetermined in the axial direction of a coil via a movable flange, moving the flange and securing it. CONSTITUTION:When the winding of a superconducting coil 3 is finished, duct spacers 6 are radially disposed on the upper end face side on the coil 3, and a movable flange 13 is set thereon. Then, the whole coil 3 is mounted at a hydraulic unit or the like, and an external load P is applied by a pressure jig 20. The flange 13 is energized to a stationary flange 12A side, a clamping force is applied to the axial direction of the coil 3, and a nut 15 is clamped. The clamping force is set to a value larger than the maximum axial electromagnetic force operating at the coil 3. Thus, a quenching is prevented, and a high magnetic field can be stably generated.

摘要： PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of insulating film of a superconducting coil conductor and to enhance the space factor of a superconducting wire by a method wherein a pair of flat ring-shaped metal plates, having a spiral-shaped coil-housing groove and a prescribed potential respectively and insulated with each other, are laminated. CONSTITUTION:Flat ring-shaped metal plates 1A to 1G, provided with the groove wherein a superconducting coil conductor 10 of a spiral double-pancake-wound coil 5 will be housed, are laminated through the intermediary of an insulating layer 23. One of a pair of plates 1A to 1G is maintained at the same potential as an external lead-out part through an outer circumferential side junction part 17, other part is maintained at the same potential as the inner circumferential side transition part 6, which is connected to a power supply part 22, through the transition part 6, and a metal plate laminated body 1 is fixed by a clamping bolt 30. Using the constitution wherein the potential of a pair of metal plates, with which each layer coil is pinched, is maintained at the prescribed value and potential difference is reduced to the value equal to the allotment voltage of each layer coil, the potential difference which is formed by the dielectric covering of the superconducting coil conductor can be reduced, the space factor of the superconducting wire can be enhanced by the reduction in thickness of the covering, and the magnetic flux density of a toroidal magnetic field can also be enhanced without increasing the size of the coil.

CONSTITUTION:A liquid helium bath 3, with which a superconducting coil 2 is cooled, and another liquid helium bath 3, with which a current lead is cooled, are provided in a vacuum container 6. A gas cooling type heat exchanger, to be used to cool the current lead by vaporized helium gas, is provided in the liquid helium bath which is used to cool the current lead. The helium gas 7 passes through the cooling type heat exchanger, and after the current lead has been cooled, the helium gas 7 is discharged to outside the vacuum container from its top part. Also, the current lead 1 is integrally formed with the liquid helium bath with which the current lead is cooled, and a part of said bath is surrounded by an electrically insulated material 5. Accordingly, as the electric insulation is obtained in a vacuum atmosphere or in the air, the dielectric strength characteristics more excellent than those of manufactured using the former method can be obtained.

摘要： PURPOSE:To largely reduce the intrusion of heat from an ambient temperature section thereby to decrease cooling helium gas flow rate as much as possible by covering a lead outer tube with a vacuum outer tube to form a vacuum adiabatic layer. CONSTITUTION:A current lead outer tube 1a is coated with a vacuum outer tube 10. A vacuum seal-off valve 8a is provided at an ambient temperature outer tube 8. A space formed by the tubes 1a, 10 is drawn to vacuum, and the valve 8a is then closed. The intrusion of heat of the tube 1a opposed to the tube 10 including the tube 8 eliminates convection and conduction of the ambient temperature section which occupies most of the conventional heat intrusion due to helium gas, and contains only radiation from the tube 10 to largely reduce it. Thus, cooling helium gas flow rate can be reduced as much as possible.

Subsequently, the above bar is subjected to thermal diffusion treatment and then, as the final stage, to plastic deformation by means of skin pass rolling, etc., at 1-5% reduction in area, by which ruggedness inevitably occurring in the bar surface at the time of thermal diffusion is smoothed. By this method, a surface modified copper alloy bar excellent in formability and workability can be obtained without adversely affecting the properties of the product.
