    • PURPOSE:To attempt control over refrigerant consumption, the structural miniaturization of the accelerator in the title and the facilitation of adjusting the electromagnetic coupling condition of waveguides and a particle accelerating apparatus, by coupling the waveguides inside and outside a cryostat to the particle accelerating apparatus via both a coaxial inside duct and a coaxial outside duct and also via converters, and designing the inside of the inside duct to function as a charged particle passage. CONSTITUTION:Electromagnetic waves from electromagnetic wave impression side outside a cryostat 11 are propagated via a waveguide 24A, a converter 25A and an outside duct 21A into a particle-accelerating apparatus 16 within the cryostat 11 while charged particles are injected via an inside duct 22 into the particle-accelerating apparatus 16, so that the charged particles are accelerated within the particle accelerating apparatus 16. And the electromagnetic waves are taken out from the particle accelerating apparatus 16 within the cryostat 11 to an electromagnetic wave takeout side outside the cryostat 11 via an outside duct 21B, a converter 25B and a waveguide 24B while the charged particles are taken out from the particle accelerating apparatus 16 to a particle ejecting side outside the cryostat 11 via the inside duct 26. Thus, the accelerator in the title is permitted to have control over refrigerant consumption, its structural miniaturization and the facilitation of adjusting the waveguides to the particle accelerating apparatus.
