摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a high degree of vacuum in a temperature gradient container over a long term in the case of a vacuum insulation, and improve the dielectric strength of an insulation gas in the container in the case of a gas insulation, by providing a cooling means in the container. SOLUTION: Inside a temperature gradient container 11, a cryopanel 35 with a liquid nitrogen piping 35b attached to a cylindrical metallic panel 35a is provided. A liquid nitrogen is fed to the cryopanel 35 via a flow-rate regulating valve 37. Absorbing heat by the liquid nitrogen in the course of it flowing through the piping 35b of the cryopanel 35, it is gasified to be exhausted from an exhausting panel 39. Bringing the cryopanel 35 into a cryogenic state by the liquid nitrogen flowing in the piping 35b, gases desorbed from materials are adsorbed by the cryopanel 35 to maintain the degree of vacuum in the temperature gradient container 11. As a result in the case of a vacuum insulation, a high degree of vacuum can be maintained in the container 11 over a long term without any continuous evacuation, and in the case of a gas insulation, the dielectric strength of an insulation gas in the container 11 can be improved.

The superconducting layers A1 to A3, B1 to B3, C1 to C3 of the shielding layers 15a, 15b, 15c are exposed in an no-contact condition each other near both final ends. The superconducting layers A1 to A3, B1 to B3, C1 to C3 are the exposed parts, and the electrically-connected sequentially so that the layers of respective phases may be different from each other.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to, if any short-circuit fault occurs, limit short- circuit current at high speed with a small-sized element. SOLUTION: An oxide superconductor 1 is anisotropic in the direction in which a main lead wire 2 is connected and in the c-axis direction perpendicular thereto. Control lead wires 3 are connected to the end faces of the said oxide superconductor 1 in the caxis direction. One of the control lead wires 3 is connected to the main lead wire 2 in the stage precedent to the oxide superconductor 1, and the other control lead wire 3 is connected to the main lead wire 2 in the stage following the oxide superconductor 1. Thus current branching from the main lead wire 2 is let through the oxide superconductor 1 in the c-axis direction. If an excessive current is passed through, this brings the oxide superconductor 1 in normal conduction at high speed, and limits the current with a resultant resistance.

摘要： PURPOSE:To decrease the surface defects by using a superconducting material equal to a superconducting thin film at least at the inner surface side of each joining part of a base material, forming a superconducting thin film on the inner surface as a waveguide, and joining the superconducting material parts of these waveguides to each other. CONSTITUTION:A niobium ring 2 is welded to each of both end faces of a copper columnar block having a prescribed size. Then both end face parts are formed into the large opening parts 3 with the center part narrowed into a small opening part 4 respectively with cutting. Thus a single cavity 5 is obtained and a niobium thin film 8 is formed on the inner surface of the cavity 5 by sputtering. Then the stepped projecting and recessed surfaces of the cavity 5 containing the film 8 are joined to each other, and electronic beam welding is applied to a contact part where both rings 2 touch with each other. Then these cavities 5 are joined together via a superconducting material in the form of a superconducting acceleration cavity.

And the electromagnetic waves are taken out from the particle accelerating apparatus 16 within the cryostat 11 to an electromagnetic wave takeout side outside the cryostat 11 via an outside duct 21B, a converter 25B and a waveguide 24B while the charged particles are taken out from the particle accelerating apparatus 16 to a particle ejecting side outside the cryostat 11 via the inside duct 26. Thus, the accelerator in the title is permitted to have control over refrigerant consumption, its structural miniaturization and the facilitation of adjusting the waveguides to the particle accelerating apparatus.
