摘要： PURPOSE:To ensure the easy manufacture of a compound billet, and reduce the manufacture time and cost thereof by subjecting a continuous superconducting wire to regular multilayer winding around a copper mandrel for eliminating the processes for straightening, cutting and deburring the superconducting wire, etc. CONSTITUTION:A superconducting wire 11 is spirally wound around the external surface of a copper mandrel 16 in such a way as keeping adjacent turns close to each other and forming a multi-layer. The superconducting wire-wound body 17 so obtained is sealed with a copper tube 18 and copper covers 14 and 15, thereby manufacturing a compound billet 19. This compound billet 19 is subjected to an extrusion molding process and a drawing process.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide an n-value controlled-type superconductive wire with which a quenching incident of a superconductor apparatus can be prevented and a superconductor apparatus can be driven at high current level. CONSTITUTION: A superconductive wire is one produced by burying a large number of superconductive filaments with variously different critical current densities in a stabilized metal matrix at a prescribed ratio and the n-value of the superconductive wire under a magnetic field as strong as 5 tesla (wherein the n-value means the exponent in the relation V∝I between the voltage V between both terminals at the time when the critical current value I flows and the current value I) is set to be not higher than 15. Since the n-value is small, quenching proceeds gradually and a quenching preventive control circuit built in a superconductor apparatus surely starts driving. Consequently, the superconductor apparatus is prevented from being broken and also the driving condition (current value) of the superconductor apparatus can be heightened.
