    • PURPOSE:To provide a thermotherapy element capable of being used for an inplant material to heat the affected part and being infused in a living body by the use of a specified magnetic oxide material. CONSTITUTION:A disk-shaped element 1 should have 1-10 of the aspect ratio of the maximum diameter 2 to the thickness 3. If the ratio is 1 or less, the heat generating speed gets slow when a high frequency magnetic field is applied, and if the ratio is 10 or more, the fluidity of the element is degraded to make difficult the injection of the element through an injector. Also, if a grain size of the element are 30mum or less, the heat generating speed gets slow when a high frequency magnetic field is applied, and if 100mum or more, the fluidity of the element is degraded, the element gets difficult to infuse through the injector and if the element is coated with a carcinostatic substance, the infusion through the injector gets difficult. Further, the Qurie temperature of magnetic oxide powder should fall within the range of 42-90 deg.C. In 42 deg.C or less of the Qurie temperature, the powder cannot be heated up to the treatment temperature region effective in the thermotherapy, and in 90 deg.C or more the powder exceeds the treatment temperature region of the thermotherapy to be overheated.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a temperature sensitive amorphous alloy for hyperthermia having a specific Curie temp. and capable of easily applying induction heating to the deseased part to a temp. in the prescribed range by incorporating transition metals, such as Fe, Ni, and Co, and metalloids, such as P, C, Si, and B. CONSTITUTION:The temperature sensitive amorphous alloy for hyperthermia having a Curie temp. of 42-90 deg.C is obtained by incorporating one or more transition metals among Fe, Ni, and Co and one or more metalloids among P, C, Si, and B and further adding, it necessary, small amounts of Al. In the above alloy, proper content ot the above metalloids is about 10-30 atomic%% and also proper additive quantity of Al is about 2-5%. By the above addition of Al, even if Ni content is reduced, the Curie temp. can be lowered and lowering of saturation magnetic flux density can be avoided. The resulting amorphous alloy can be used as an implant material for local heating and can always apply induction heating to the deseased part up to a temp. in the prescribed range while obviating the necessity of special control.

    • PURPOSE:To allow the efficient heating of a local and deep part by adequately selecting the frequencies and alternate magnetic fields of a magnetic induction heating section. CONSTITUTION:This device consists of two sections; a power source section 1 for excitation and the magnetic induction heating section 2. A temp. measuring section 3 may be added at need. In addition, temp. sensitive amorphous alloy powder is used as an implant material. The power source 1 for excitation consists of a power source section 4, a frequency matching section 5 and a cooling water circulating section 6. The frequencies of 50 to 300KHz and the alternating magnetic fields of 0.5 to 20KA/m are impressed by the power source 1 for excitation having 3 phases, 200V, and 30KW. The temp. sensitive amorphous alloy powder to be used as the implant material is coated with a polymer or noble metal, such as gold which are harmless to a living organism, so that the this powder can be directly injected into the part to be treated. The local heating and deep part heating are efficiently executed in this way.

    • PURPOSE:To produce the heat sensitive amorphous alloy which can make induction heating to a prescribed temp. range at all times by coating the surface of an alloy contg. transition metals, such as Fe, Ni and Co and semimetals, such as P, C, Si, and B, and having a specific Curie temp. with a nonmagnetic metal. CONSTITUTION:The heat sensitive amorphous alloy for thermotherapy is produced by coating the surface of the alloy contg. one or >=2 kinds of the heat sensitive amorphous alloys, such as Fe, Ni and Co and one or, >=2 kinds of the semimetals, such as P, C, Si, and B, and having 42 to 90 deg.C Curie temp. with the nonmagnetic metal (metals, such as Cu, Ag and Au, having a good electric conductivity). The content of the above-mentioned semimetals is confined to about 10 to 30 atomic % in the alloy and the thickness of the film of the nonmagnetic metal is preferably about 5 to 10mum. The heat sensitive amorphous alloy which inductively heats an affected part to a prescribed temp. at all times is obtd. in this way without requiring special control and the stable thermotherapy is executed.

    • PURPOSE:To always bring the affected part to a predetermined temp. range by induction heating without requiring special control, in a composite magnetic body for hyperthermia composed of an amorphous alloy and other magnetic body, by increasing Ni-content in the amorphous alloy to lower Curie temp. to a desired level. CONSTITUTION:A temp.-sensitive amorphous alloy having Curie temp. of 42-90 deg.C containing one or more kind of a transition metal selected from Fe, Ni and Co and one or more kind of a semimetal selected from P, C, Si and B is combined with other magnetic body. Ni is an element added for the purpose of lowering Curie temp. and also imparts corrosion resistance at the same time. The lowering of Curie temp. is especially important as a magnetic material for soft heating, and local heating for obtaining the treatment temp. of a malignant tumor and the holding of said temp. are made possible. By adding Al to the above mentioned composition, Curie temp. can be further lowered. Therefore, even when the addition amount of Ni is suppressed in the case of the addition of Al, an amorphous alloy having low Curie temp. can be obtained.
