摘要： PURPOSE:To perform the installation work and maintenance of an optical fiber joint box in safety by installing an optical fiber joint box, having bottom part inclining downward toward the front and an optical cable pull-in port in the bottom, while spacing apart from the bottom face of an outer box. CONSTITUTION:An optical fiber connecting section 4 has the bottom part inclining downward toward the front and spaced apart 2f from the bottom face of the outer box 2 for a distribution cable unit 1. Consequently, an optical cable 6 can be pulled from the bottom face of the outer box 6 and the bottom part of the optical fiber joint box 4 into the joint box 4 through an opening 2d in the outer box 2 for exclusive use. A series of works, including the work for leading out the optical cable 6 through an opening 2c in the front of the joint box 4 and through the opening 2d of the outer box 2, can be performed using only the opening 2d for exclusive use. This method ensures safety for the worker at the time of installation and the maintenance of the optical fiber joint box 4.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to pass a guide wire even though a bent part has a small radius of curvature. SOLUTION: A head guide 12 has a shape line a thine pole and has an axial part 13 with flexural rigidity smaller than that of a guide wire 11. A rear end of the axial part 13 is joined rigidly to an end of the wire 11 through a connection part 14. In pushing work for inserting the wire 11 into a tube path 3, when a round swollen top part 13a of the head guide 12 goes against the tube wall, the axial part 13 is bent and the head guide 12 is passed. Since the flexural curvature of the axial part 13 is smaller than that of the wire 11, force for bending the axial part 13 is made small, and pushing force for passing the bent part is made small. As a result, the guide wire 11 can be passed even when the bent tube part has small radius (R) of curvature.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a tip head which prevents a large resistance from being generated even in a curved pipe part whose radius of curvature is small by a method wherein a swing mechanism is interposed between a mounting part to a wire-passing rod at the tip head and a head body. SOLUTION: At a tip head 2, a swing mechanism 5 is interposed between a mounting part 7 to a wire-passing rod 1 pushed into a cable-laid conduit and a head body 8 to be used as a guide inside the conduit. Consequently, the tip head 2 can be turned arbitrarily while the part of the swing mechanism 5 is used as a fulcrum with reference to the axial direciton of the wire-passing rod as indicated by a broken line. In this manner, when the wire-passing rod 1 connected to the tip head 2 is pushed into the conduit 4 via the swing mechanism 5 so as to pass the curved pipe part of the conduit 4, the tip head 2 changes its direction easily by following the bend of the curved pipe part even when the tip head 2 comes into contact with the inner wall of the curved pipe, and the tip head is advanced without being subjected to a large resistance from the inner wall of the conduit 4. Consequently, the wire-passing rod 1 can be pushed by a slight force.

From the mechanism of the torsion spring 30 which generates spring effect, resiliency of the torsion spring 30 is not deteriorated when holes 31 of the anchor levers 17B are filled with mud or the like. Thereby restoring force of the anchor levers 17B is not deteriorated.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the workability of rod wire passing operation in which a wire passing rod is passed through an underground conduit and to prevent the damage of the wire passing rod at the time of the wire passing operation. SOLUTION: The guide tube main body 11 of a rod guide tube 10 has flexibility. A guide tube connecting fitting 12 provided at one end of the guide tube main body 11 is connected to the open end 3 of an underground conduit inside a hand hole 1, and the other end is placed on a support base 25 on the ground outside the hand hole. A lubricant treating device 13 for the application and removal of a lubricant is provided. A wire passing rod 4 can be inserted through the rod guide tube 10 from on the ground into an underground conduit 5. It becomes unnecessary to perform wire passing operation inside a narrow hand hole. It is prevented that the wire passing rod 4 is hit against the wall surface of the hand hole 1 and that it is bent to not less than a allowable bend, and the prevention of damage is achieved.

CONSTITUTION:A horizontal guide member 29 is fixed to the back wall 20b of the box body of the optical fiber connection box. A grip member 28 which grips the tension member 16a of the optical cable 16 is provided laterally slidably along the guide member 29. Grip members 28 as many as optical cables 16 are provided. An optical cable 16 is led in the fiber connection box through, for example, the lead-in opening of the bottom part and temporarily drawn up by, for example, about 1.5 meter. When the grip member 28 is slid to the right or left, the grip member 28 is not a hindrance to the optical cable 16, which can easily be lifted. Then the sheath 16d of the optical cable 16 is peeled to take the coated optical fiber 16b out, and the tension member 16a is cut to specific length (the figure shows the state after cutting) and gripped by the grip member 28.
