摘要： A magnetic toner containing a binder resin comprising at least a vinyl resin and a magnetic powder is described, wherein said binder resin has at least one molecular weight peak in each of a region of from 3,000 to 5,000 and a region of from 150,000 to 2,000,000 in its molecular-weight distribution curve as measured by gel-permeation chromatography, with the peak area in a higher molecular weight region being between 40% and 60% based on the total area under the molecular-weight distribution curve, and with a glass transition temperature in the range of from 60 DEG and 75 DEG C. The toner has a wide temperature range for fixation and is free from thermal agglomeration.

摘要： PURPOSE:To form a high density image even in the case of low contrast by using a two-component developer composed of toner particles and carrier particles with inorg. oxide particles having specified volume resistivity added to the surfaces. CONSTITUTION:A two-component developer is composed of toner particles and carrier particles with inorg. oxide particles having OMEGAcm volume resistivity added to the surfaces. The particle size of the carrier is regulated to 10-500mum and the particle size of the inorg. oxide particles is regulated to 0.05-10% of that of the carrier. Since the inorg. oxide particles having low electric resistance are added to the surface of the carrier, excessive electrification of the toner is inhibited and the movement of electric changes in a contact region to the noncontact surface of the carrier is facilitated. The exchangeability of electric charges is improved, electrification speed is increased and remarkable reduction of the extent of electrification is inhibited even when some toner sticks to the surface of the carrier. Excessive electrification of the toner is inhibited in the early stage of development.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain a one-component magnetic toner having an extremely wide fixable temp. region in a contact heat fixing system and having the high min. temp. at which thermal flocculation arises by specifying the mol.wt. and glass transition temp. of a binder resin consisting of a vinyl polymer. CONSTITUTION:The chromatogram of the binder resin measured by GPC of the toner which consists of the magnetic toner contg. binder resin consisting of at least a vinyl resin and a magnetic material has at least one max. value in the respective regions of 3,000-5,000 and 150,000-2,000,000mol.wt. The peak area on the high mol.wt. side is in a 40-60% range, by which the low-temp. fixing of the toner is enabled. Offset resistance is imparted to the toner by the high mol.wt. component. Further, the thermal flocculation at the time of toner storage is hardly generated without exerting the adverse influence to the fixing characteristics by adjusting the glass transition temp. to a 60-75 deg.C range. The wide fixable range is thereby provided to the toner and the min. temp. which the thermal flocculation arises is increased and, therefore, the flocculation during transportation and storage after production of the toner is prevented.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device which is not only capable of easily forming stereoscopic images by using a general image forming device, such as a copying machine or printer, but also capable of forming the stereoscopic images consisting of foamable toner on a recording medium with sufficient strength of adhesion and forming the stereoscopic images having sufficient durability. SOLUTION: The image forming device is so constituted as to form the stereoscopic images by using the foamable toner containing at least a binder resin and foaming agent as the toner described above in addition to the ordinary non-foamable toner, previously forming a toner image consisting of the non- foamable toner on the same point on the recording medium to be formed with the stereoscopic images, then forming the toner image consisting of the foamable toner in a lamination state on the toner image consisting of the non-foamable toner thereby forming the stereoscopic images on the recording medium.

摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the electrostatic charge developing toner for dry processing which has a good flow property and cleanability and excellent environmental stability and durability and does not generate toner filming on the surface of a photosensitive body, the surface of the carrier used in a two-component development system or the surface of a charge imparting member used in a one-component development system. CONSTITUTION:This electrostatic charge developing toner for dry processing is formed by adding an inorg. compd. subjected to a surface treatment with at least one treating agents selected from low-mol. wt. polyethylene, fatty acid metal salt and 20 to 60C alcohol which is solid at ordinary temp. as an external additive to a toner consisting of at least a binder resin and coloring agents. The preferable inorg. compd. is exemplified by nearly spherical silica particulates. The above-mentioned toner is produced by dispersing or dissolving a treating agent into a solvent, treating the inorg. compd. with the resulted dispersion liquid or soln. and adding and mixing the inorg. compd. subjected to the surface treatment to and with the toner.
