摘要： A composite filler obtained by precuring the acrylate or methacrylate of a polyhydric alcohol having at least three ethylenically unsaturated groups in the molecule thereof by using a free-radical initiator in the presence of an inorganic filler, followed by grinding the resultant prepolymer is described. This composite filler remarkably improves the stiffness and hardness of organic resins and rubbers, and prevents a decrease in the impact strength and bending strength of organic resins and rubbers when the composite fillers are compounded into the organic resins and rubbers. Furthermore, a dental composition obtained from the polymerization of a vinyl compound in the presence of the above-mentioned composite filler is described. This dental composition has excellent properties, such as, high hardness, high strength, good adhesiveness, and is suitable for use as dental materials.

摘要： A curable composition comprising an aromatic dibasic acid having an ethylenically unsaturated group, such as 4-methacryloxyethyltrimellitate, or an acid anhydride thereof, other ethylenically unsaturated monomer and a catalyst is disclosed. This composition is applied between articles to be bonded together and is polymerized and cured to form an adhesive layer excellent in the water resistance and durability. This composition is especially valuable as a dental adhesive or as an undercoating agent for a paint or adhesive.

摘要： A tooth cavity is filled by applying to the walls of the tooth cavity a lining composition comprising a phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester compound containing at least one radical polymizerable vinyl group and at least one ##STR1## group, wherein said lining composition contains said phosphoric or phosphonic acid ester compound in a proportion of not less than 0.1 weight percent, as phosphorus, and then filling the remainder of the cavity with a dental filling material which comprises a polymerizable monomer, a filler and a curing agent.

摘要： A modified hollow-fiber membrane which has improved surface hydrophilicity without increasing the amount of components released therefrom, is less apt to interact with living-body components, does not adsorb proteins, and is less apt to deteriorate in performance. The hollow-fiber membrane has a copolymer of 2-methacryloyloxyethylphosphorylcholine and other polymerizable vinyl monomer held on a surface of the membrane, the copolymer being present on the surface in a higher concentration than in other parts of the membrane. The modified hollow-fiber membrane is useful in medical applications such as hemodialysis and blood filtration and in the medical industry, food industry etc.
