    • An electrically remote-controlled mirror assembly having a pair of plungers driven by first and second motors for tilting the mirror about the horizontal and vertical axes, respectively, and for quick-rear-viewing, there is provided a mirror driving mechanism by which the mirror can be tilted further through a predetermined angle beyond the predetermined range of angulation for the normal car moving to an angular position suitable for viewing the rear wheel of the car and thereafter returned to its initial predetermined angular position. The mirror driving mechanism comprises a nut member which axially guides at least one of the plungers, a rotary member having a drive shaft slidable with respect to but blocked against pivoting relative to the plunger and which is intended to move the plunger forward and backward for the purpose of the quick-rear-viewing, and a third motor to rotate the rotary member, and an electrical control means responsive to the rotation of the rotary member to control the stopping and rotational direction of the third motor. The electrical control means is composed of an electrically conductive ball so disposed as to roll on a predetermined track, and two pairs of electric contacts, one of the pair being disposed at a first position corresponding to one end of the rolling track of the ball and the other pair being disposed at a second position corresponding to the other end of the rolling track.

    • In a wireless signal receiving method in which after a physical channel sent from a base station in a wireless communication system at an unspecified timing is demodulated from a high frequency signal to a baseband signal, the baseband signal is decoded and is outputted as a decoded baseband signal, and a desired channel included in the decoded baseband signal is decrypted by a communication control part (13) for performing communication control, this invention is the wireless communication receiving method being characterized by comprising a judgment step of judging whether or not the desired channel exists in the physical channel of the decoded baseband signal and outputting a judgment result, a wake-up step of bringing a power source of the communication control part (13) into an ON state in a case where the judgment result indicates existence of the desired channel, and a sleep step of bringing the power source of the communication control part into an OFF state when it is confirmed that the communication control part does not need to be operated in a case where the power source of the communication control part (13) is in the ON state, and thus electric power consumed by a mobile station can be saved.

    • A radio communication apparatus includes: a transmitting section for transmitting a request message to a first cell and a second cell; a first combiner for demodulating a first common control channel transmitted from the first cell; a second combiner for demodulating a second common control channel transmitted from the second cell; a baseband controller for starting the first and second combiners, and for controlling the combiners into a state in which the combiners can demodulate the first and second common control channels simultaneously; and a radio communication controller for receiving a response message to the request message contained in one of the first and second common control channels. The radio communication apparatus can receive the response message contained in the common control channels positively even in a handover area where cell switching can occur frequently, and can improve the stability of the communication.
