SOLUTION: This relates to a rectangular parallelepiped or cube-shaped container whose periphery is surrounded by four side wall pieces (21, 22, 23 and 24). The top pieces (22A and 24A) of the two facing side wall pieces (22 and 24) are folded inward and the top end pieces (21B, 23B) of the other two facing side wall pieces (21 and 23) are stuck to each other for sealing the opening of the container. The top end piece (22B) of at least one top piece (22A) of the top pieces of the two side wall pieces (22 and 24) folded inward is folded downward in a width enough for its center part (22BC) to be held in order to form it as a knob piece in opening.     • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical dam type continuous immersion device for enhancing the liquid sealability and being flexibly adapted to any changes of an immersion condition such as the work size and the plating thickness.
      SOLUTION: The dam type continuous immersion device comprises an immersion tank group having an immersion tank D to immerse a work W therein and box tanks B disposed before and/or behind the immersion tank, a carrying means A to allow the work W to horizontally travel, a gate means 2 of enhanced liquid sealability to open/close a work passage 1 provided before and behind each box tank B, a communication pipe to be communicated with the box tanks and the immersion tank, a reception tank to receive treatment solution discharged from the box tanks, and a returning means to return the solution to the corresponding immersion tank from the reception tank. The box tank comprises a plurality of juxtaposed box chambers b1 and b2 in a direction orthogonal to the work advancing direction, conversion tanks C are disposed before and behind the box tanks, and the conversion tank has a converting means 31 to convert the work W to a desired traveling lane out of a plurality of work traveling lanes.
