    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum pump unit with quiet drive technology which is miniature in size, has a compact structure, and an ultimate vacuum, is a low power consumption model, produces no contamination problem such as oil, tip seal and the like, and no supply system of cool water, nitrogen gas and the like required, exhaust air is possible from atmospheric pressure in a matter of minutes, capable of preventing electrical overload owing to condensed water and breakdowns.
      SOLUTION: The vacuum pump unit comprises a main pump 15 arranged in the outside air pressure side and a booster pump 16 arranged in the vacuum side. The booster pump and the main pump are serially connected and the booster pump has a higher pumping speed than that of the main pump, and the main pump and the booster pump consist of a pair of pump rotors 52a, 52b and a casing 50 having an inlet port and an outlet port, and a pair of magnet rotors 54, 54 are integrally rotatable with a pair of pump rotors.
