    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber porous membrane exhibiting high surface porosity and also high permeability, i.e. fluidity.
      SOLUTION: The hollow fiber porous membrane, having essentially skinless surface on at least one surface and having an IPA flow time of less than about 3,000 sec consisting of a perfluorinated thermoplastic polymer, includes: the process (a) for dissolving the perfluorinated thermoplastic polymer in a solvent which forms upper critical solution temperature with this polymer; the process (b) for extruding it into an annular die kept at a sufficiently high temperature for preventing the solution from being preliminarily cooled, by immersing a part of the die in a cooling bath; the process (c) for extruding the solution into the cooling bath; the process (d) for producing gel-like fibers by separating the solution down to the upper critical solution temperature or lower and liquid-liquid separating to two phases of a solid-rich solid phase and a solvent-rich liquid phase by cooling the solution down to the upper critical solution temperature or lower; the process (e) for forming the hollow fiber porous membrane by extracting the solvent from the gel-like fibers; and the process (f) for drying the hollow fiber porous membrane.
