    • A process for producing cellulosic shaped objects includes extruding and coagulating a solution of chemical wood pulp in a tertiary amine oxide, and possibly a liquid that does not dissolve wood pulp and is miscible with the tertiary amine oxide, the solution capable of being shaped into objects, the process of producing the shapeable solution employing a first wood pulp with a higher degree of polymerization and a second wood pulp with a lower degree of polymerization, and whereby initially a solution of the first wood pulp with a higher degree of polymerization in the tertiary amine oxide and possibly non-dissolving liquid, and a composition containing the second wood pulp with a lower degree of polymerization, tertiary amine oxide, and possibly non-dissolving liquid, are prepared separately, and the solution and composition are subsequently at least mixed to obtain the shapeable solution.

    • A process for fixing wear-resistant armoring tiles to cement mortar. In accordance with the process, the back sides of the tiles are coated with a mixture of polyester epoxy resin composition including sand and quartz or sand powder, with a curing agent. A material having an affinity for the cement mortar (like quartz sand or lavalite) is dusted and rolled into the coated back side of the tiles, so as to thoroughly be mixed up with the resin mixture coating. After the hardening of the coating including the material having affinity to cement mortar, the tiles are embedded in the cement mortar. Accordingly, this process substantially eliminates the well known poor adhesive properties of such tiles with respect to cement mortar.

    • An apparatus and a method for producing dry, compressed air to be used for electrical switchgear, especially for high-tension switchgear, is disclosed in which humidity is extracted from the air in a subsequently arranged sorption dryer, with one portion of the dried air being used to regenerate a drying agent of the drying apparatus. The drying apparatus includes a cylindrical inner housing which is used for the pre-drying of the air, an outer housing which surrounds the former in jacket form for the final drying and a desorption volume. An electric heating rod protrudes concentrically into the inner housing and is covered by either a baffle device or a pipe so that a ring-gap is created between two components, with the ring-gap divided into two halves. The air is pre-dried in the first drying chamber prior to its entry into the compressor, with the temperature of the air being kept above the dew point during compression and cooling. The air is then heated prior to a second or final drying process with the remaining moisture being removed during the course of this drying process so that the entire humidity of the air is extracted in the steam phase.
