    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device capable of widely monitoring a monitor object and an image around it.
SOLUTION: An image is acquired from a wide angle camera (S110), and a display mode is input from a touch panel (S115). A wide angle camera image is displayed on the display device as it is in the case of the display mode other than a narrow-angle enlargement display mode (S160), and an enlargement area is input from the touch panel in the case of a narrow-angle enlargement display mode (S125). A narrow-angle enlarged display screen to be displayed together with an enlarged image is generated by conversion for reduction of an area other than the enlargement area (S130). A warning object is detected by image processing (S135), and an area wherein the warning object exists is enlarged (S145) in the case that the warning object is found (S140:Yes), and a warning sound is output from a speaker (S155). Then the narrow-angle enlarged image and an image resulting from enlarging the area of the warning object are generated as a new image (S150), and the new image is displayed on the display device (S160).

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an area for exposure control depending on the running state of a vehicle.SOLUTION: The image in front of a vehicle captured by means of a camera is acquired, and the travel speed of the vehicle is also acquired. An exposure area E1, E2 or E3 for exposure control is set in the captured image, and a control value for performing exposure control of a camera is calculated based on the pixel value of a pixel included in the exposure area. More specifically, the size of an exposure area in the captured image is changed depending on the travel speed so that the size of an exposure area in the captured image becomes smaller (E1→E2 or E2→E3) when the travel speed is a first speed, as compared with the case when the travel speed is a second speed lower than the first speed.

In the case that the self-vehicle waits for a right turn at an intersection and in either of the case that the opposite vehicle (front vehicle) waits for a right turn at the intersection or the case that a rear vehicle exists in the back of the self-vehicle, an electronic controller 30 generates a synthetic image in which the whole dead angle to be generated as a result of the self-vehicle is visualized based on photographed images of the cameras 11, 12, 13, 14 when a position of the opposite vehicle or the rear vehicle is considered as a virtual viewpoint to be displayed on displays 20-23. Thus, driving of the rear vehicle or the opposite vehicle is appropriately supported.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an on-vehicle camera capable of further restraining a temperature rise in an imaging element and a lens.SOLUTION: This on-vehicle camera 1 includes the lens 14 and a CCD, and includes a bracket 20 for covering a camera body 10 so as not to overlap with a visual field of the camera by forming the camera body 10 by storing the lens 14 and the CCD in a body case 12. Shining of the sunlight of turned to the camera body 10 from an upper part and the side of the on-vehicle camera 1 upon the camera body 10, can be restrained by the bracket 20. Thus, a temperature rise in the camera body 10 can be restrained. Since the bracket 20 is prevented from overlapping with the visual field of the camera, the visual field of the camera is not narrowed by the bracket 20.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging display control system capable of switching a brightness calculation method using signals of visible light and near infrared light, enabling the appropriate switching in accordance with a driving scene of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An imaging display control system comprises: a signal processing section 23 for calculating brightness of each pixel on the basis of intensity of visual light and near infrared light received by an image sensor 22; and an image recognition section 8 for allowing a display 9 to display an image in accordance with the brightness of each pixel, being calculated by the signal processing section 23. The image recognition section 8 searches for an object having been previously set as an object intensely reflecting or emitting the near infrared light, by image recognition on the basis of a video signal received from a camera 3 which outputs the video signal based on the visible light. When the image recognition section 8 does not find the object intensely reflecting or emitting the near infrared light as a result of the searching, the image recognition section 8 calculates the brightness of each pixel by a first calculation method. When it finds the object, the image recognition section 8 calculates the brightness of each pixel by a second calculation method in which the intensity of the near infrared light is less contributed to the brightness than the first method.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate switching corresponding to a travel scene of a vehicle in a photographing display control system for switching a calculation method of luminance by using signals of visible light and near infrared light.SOLUTION: The photographing display control system includes: a camera 2 including a signal processing section 23 for calculating the luminance of respective pixels on the basis of intensity of visible light and near infrared light which an imaging element 22 receives and outputting RAW data showing the intensity of the visible light and the near infrared light; and an image recognition section 8 for displaying the image based on the luminance of the respective pixels, which the signal processing section 23 calculates. The image recognition section 8 searches an object which is previously set as an object which strongly reflects or discharges the near infrared light on the basis of the RAW data. When the object which strongly reflects or discharges the near infrared light cannot be detected as a result of search, the luminance of the respective pixels is calculated by a first calculation method. When the object has been detected, the luminance of the respective pixels is calculated by a second calculation method with which contribution of the intensity of the near infrared light to the luminance becomes lower than the first method.
