摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for electrochemically treating concrete by which, particularly, ammonium ions, sodium ions, potassium ions or the like in concrete are removed, the production of ammonia from the concrete structure is prevented, and the durability of the concrete is increased. SOLUTION: In the method where an electrode set on the surface of concrete is used as an external electrode, a steel member in the inside of the concrete is used as an internal electrode and an electric current is fed between the external electrode and the internal electrode, the internal electrode is used as an anode and the external electrode is used as a cathode. The steel member is previously fitted with a plurality of sacrificial anodes, the concrete is placed and hardened, and thereafter, a retaining material in which an electrolytic solution is sufficiently retained is arranged between the surface of the concrete and the external electrode and the current is fed over a fixed period, so that alkali substances, in particular ammonium ions, are removed from the concrete structure. SOLUTION: In the process for applying electric current between an external electrode used as a negative electrode and an internal electrode used as a positive electrode wherein the former is an electrode established on the concrete surface and the latter is a steel material positioned inside the concrete. Preferably, a material holding an electrolyte solution is placed between the concrete surface and the external electrode to evaporate the ammonium ions inside the concrete structure as ammonia gas.

The method is carried out advantageously by using a chamber being made up of a main body which opens at its both edges and is surrounded by a wall being set perpendicular to a spurting face of the filter, a connection member for a filter member which is mounted on one opening of the main body, a porous member which is set up near the other opening of the main body in a direction perpendicular to the wall, and an air sucking tube which is installed so that its air sucking inlet is disposed in a space of the main body between the one opening and the porous member.
