摘要： An expandable intervertebral implant (10) includes a first member (20), a second member (40), and a collar operatively associated with the first and second members, wherein the collar includes a threaded mechanism so that rotation of the collar causes the second member to axially move with respect to the first member. The implant includes a ratchet mechanism (50, 80) so that when at least a predetermined amount of force is applied, the second member moves with respect to the first member in an axial, ratchet-type manner. The collar preferably includes a drive ring (60) rotatably attached to the first member and a ratchet ring (80) operatively associated with the drive ring. The ratchet ring includes an inner bore having at least one corresponding ratchet thread tooth form formed thereon for engaging a ratchet thread tooth form formed on the second member.

The battery has a AxMn[Fe(CN)6]y.zH2O cathode, where the A cations are either alkali or alkaline-earth cations, such as sodium or potassium, where x is in the range of 1 to 2, where y is in the range of 0.5 to 1, and where z is in the range of 0 to 3.5. The AxMn[Fe(CN)6]y.zH2O has a rhombohedral crystal structure with Mn2+/3+ and Fe2+3+ having the same reduction/oxidation potential. The battery also has an electrolyte, and anode made of an A metal, an A composite, or a material that can host A atoms. The battery has a single plateau charging curve, where a single plateau charging curve is defined as a constant charging voltage slope between 15% and 85% battery charge capacity. Fabrication methods are also provided.

One or more musical sounds are associated with each of a plurality of selectable objects (e.g. icons, menu items), which are provided to a user on a display. Musical audio is then received from the user, by playing on the musical instrument (e.g. guitar). The audio input may be received via a microphone or other audio input device. Then, the audio signal is analysed to determine whether the user played the one or more musical sounds associated with a selectable object. If so, that object is selected.

The virtual agent may then assign a point value to the question, determine which of a set of ranges the point value matches, and perform an action responsive to which of the ranges the point value matches. The virtual agent is self-learning in that when a question is unanswerable, the virtual agent may seek out answers and store answers for future reference. Multiple virtual agents may be networked, creating a self-scaling pool of knowledge.
