    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extendable mesh antenna which has light weight, the small number of components and high reliability for extending.
      SOLUTION: The mesh antenna 29 comprises at least two sets of approximately parallelepiped link mechanisms each composed of a mirror surface transversal member 10, a back transversal member 11, a central longitudinal member 12 and a peripheral longitudinal member 13, and a truss composed of a pair of skew members 14a, 14b flexible to spread and house the link mechanisms, and a fingertip operation umbrella mechanism having a compression coil spring 19 for spreading the skew members. The coil spring is mounted between an upper and lower slide links 17, 18 of the umbrella mechanism. A cable 33 is fixed at the top end to the upper slide link and the cable feed rate from a drum 32 is controlled to regulate the elevation of the upper slide link. A rotary dumper 60 fixed to the drum controls the spreading speed of the truss due to the expanding force of the coil spring.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a GPS wave height, current direction and current speed measuring device and a system using it, enabling correct measurement for wave height (height of wave) and current direction and speed (current of tide) at an arbitrary spot on the sea or a lake with GPS. SOLUTION: The GPS receiver 2 of GPS wave height, current direction and current speed measuring device 1 processes a GPS signal received by a GPS antenna 3 to measure the three-dimensional position of the antenna 3.
