    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the quantity of light simply and accurately without being attached by aged detrioration of a light guide or by disturbance light, by projecting light from a light source via the light guide, disposing an external light receiving device in an irradiated position, and transmitting a light-quantity monitoring signal by radio to a control device. SOLUTION: The light emitted from a light source of a light-source device body 4 is guided via a light guide 1 made up by bundling a multiplicity of optical fibers to irradiate an object. At a position where the object is irradiate, this light is monitored by an external light receiving device 2. The external light receiving device 2 transmits a light-quantity monitoring signal as a radio signal from a transmitting antenna via a radio-signal transmitting circuit on the basis of the quantity of light received by a light-quantity sensor. The radio signal is received by a receiving antenna of an external light-quantity control device 3, is signal-converted by a radio-signal receiving circuit and is compared with a reference value, and a light-quantity control signal is transmitted from a light-quantity control circuit via a lead wire 6. This signal is inputted from an external light-quantity control input terminal 5 into the light-source device body 4 and the quantity of light is controlled based on this signal.
