摘要： Bimetallic contact temp. regulators are dispersed within an industrial steam iron, so that the problem of their relatively short working life, and the difficulties of their subsequent adjustment are overcome. The redesigned iron can be switched off without altering the set temperature, and when switched on again, it quickly and accurately raises the temp. of the sole to that set previously. A signal lamp is fitted to the main switch. In the sole of the iron is >=1 NTC resistance, the conductors for which run alongside those or the heaters, or are assembled with them as an at least five pole cable. The conductors are connected via a plug and socket to a control circuit in a housing outside the iron, but convenient for the operative. A thumbwheel for a potentiometer or contacts for separate resistance steps is located on the housing.

摘要： A throughpass leather working machine, especially an embossing and ironing machine for leather which comprises at least one substantially tubular-shaped, thick-walled leather working element in the form of an embossing and/or ironing element which at both ends at the outer surface thereof and externally of the embossing or ironing zone has substantially cylindrical bearing or contact surfaces at which there are exerted by means of rollers or open rolling-contact bearings embossing or ironing forces. 摘要： A softening machine for leather has serrted tools, the lower driven by an oscillating mechanism and the upper in guides and loaded by a spring towards its top position. A hydraulic cylinder on the machine frame has a piston which acts through the piston rod on the guide elemens of the upper tool against the force of the spring. This saves any mutual adjustment of hte upper tool if the softening intensity is to be adjusted. Older machines can be modernised by adding this hydraulic adjustment.

摘要： Problems of measurement of surface area of leather using pin wheels and photoelectric methods are overcome using a measuring wheel with feelers in conjunction with electric or magnetic detectors coupled to counting circuits. Measuring wheels (7) contain several pin shaped feeler probes which are displaced radially when in contact with material (3) being measured. The material passes over a driving shaft (12) with grooves (11) where the feeler probes enter when no material is present. The feeler probes operate in conjunction with electrical or magnetic position detectors (5) mounted in an arm of a lever (6). A slot in this arm allows the feeler probe to pass through giving a pulse for counting circuits.

摘要： In the stretching of leather and the like by means of two elastically expanding diaphragms pressed together by underpressure and sealed against each other and causing the two diaphragms to expand, taking the leather stretched between them with them by friction, an expansion device acting on the diaphragms with its force distributed over the periphery of each is required. It is the purpose of the invention to provide a stretching process which achieves the same stretching results without the comparatively troublesome expansion of both leather surfaces. This is achieved by the invention in that: a) at least one part of the first surface of a piece of leather is applied to a supporting surface which allows the leather to slide; b) the piece of leather is distributed over at least part of the supporting surface and subjected to pressure forces acting against the supporting surface; c) stretching forces directed at least approximatley tangentially to the leather surface and at least approximately all round the edge of the piece of leather are exerted on at least part of the second surface of the piece of leather.

摘要： Flexible flat materials are continuously bonded together under pressure, esp. in the prodn. of shoes. The pieces of material pass through >=1 low pressure area which spreads them out and produces a smooth surface. They are then bonded together under high pressure >=2 at a time. The path taken by the materials moves upwards, and they emerge downwards above the point of entry. The process is continuous, allows simple feeding and gives high output rate and good quality prods.
