摘要： PURPOSE:To lessen a danger to an operator and improve polishing efficiency by driving and rotating an abrasive of cylindrical shape and repeating mechanically the operation wherein the rotating abrasive accesses a workpiece, is pressed thereto and then moved away therefrom. CONSTITUTION:Each movable part of a polishing tool support mechanism is actuated whenever necessary while an abrasive is being turned with a motor 4, thereby making the abrasive 16 access in a direction opposite to a polishing surface 54. Concurrently, when a blower has been started, the abrasive 16 comes in contact with the polishing surface 54, thereby carrying out a polishing process. The dusts of a film removed with the polishing process are blown toward the suction opening 64 of a suction hood 62 and sucked into said opening 64 together with air on a suction force due to the operation of the blower. The abrasive 16 is moved in an arrow 'Q' direction by the polishing tool support mechanism and the polishing process continues. Also, the dusts as sucked are collected and clean air is discharged from the outlet of the blower.

摘要： PURPOSE:To lessen a possible danger to an operator and ensure high polishing efficiency by providing a polishing tool including a cylindrical abrasive rotatable on a driving power, a reciprocator so supporting said tool as to be capable of reciprocation and a support means capable of changing the posture and the position of said tool continuously. CONSTITUTION:The access of a polishing tool as an object can be effectuated by driving an access device 33 and a manipulator 34 according to predetermined procedures. After an abrasive 16 has contacted a polishing surface as a result of the access of the tool, a reciprocator 46 is operated to move the abrasive 16 in a mono-direction for a polishing process and furthermore, the reciprocator 46 is so shifted that the abrasive 16 will move away from the polishing surface with the operation of the access device 33 and the manipulator 34. And the access of the polishing tool is again made similarly. The same process is repeated to move the abrasive 16 in contact with and along the polishing surface, thereby covering the whole of a predetermined polishing range. In other words, polishing work can be continued with a mechanical means.
