    • A voltage adjusting circuit includes a voltage regulator module (VRM), a control chip, a connection device, and a number of first resistors. The VRM includes an input receiving a first voltage from a motherboard, and an output connected to a liquid crystal display (LCD). A number of sense terminals of the control chip are connected to the LCD to sense current of the LCD. A driven terminal of the control chip is connected to a control terminal of the VRM to output corresponding driven signals to control the VRM to output corresponding voltage to the LCD. A first terminal of each first resistor is connected to a corresponding sense terminal of the control chip. A second terminal of each first resistor is grounded. The connection device is configured to cut off or connect the first resistor from or to the corresponding sense terminal of the control chip.

    • In a longwall mining operation, a panel to be extracted is formed in a seam of mine material by longitudinally extending headgate and tailgate entries with the panel beginning in a set-up room and ending at a termination line in a recovery room. The recovery room is developed in two stages and is supported by primary and secondary roof support systems that include mechanical roof bolt assemblies, roof trusses, and channel members. The effectiveness of the roof support systems to support the overlying rock strata and withstand the abutment pressure exerted on the strata by the advancing longwall face as it approaches the recovery room is monitored by an instrumentation plan. Data gathered from the instruments is continually monitored as the longwall panel recovery operation progresses.

    • A mine roof bolt expansion anchor is formed from a plurality of identical shell segments. Each shell segment has a first end, a second end, and an end section at the first end. A first finger extends from the end section to the second end of the shell segment. A second finger extends from the end section toward the second end of the shell segment and terminates at a distal edge spaced from the second end of the shell segment. The end section, the first finger and the second finger each include an inner surface and an outer surface. A deformable coupling couples a plurality of shell segments together to form a multi-piece shell. The inside surfaces of the end sections, the first fingers and the second fingers of the multi-piece shell define a central aperture in which a wedge, adapted to coact with the plurality of shell segments, is received in the central aperture. Movement of the wedge from the second end to the first end of the shell segments forces the fingers to move in an outwardly direction.
