    • A noninvasive patient-specific method is provided to aid in the analysis, diagnosis, prediction or treatment of hemodynamics of the cardiovascular system of a patient. Coronary blood flow and pressure can be predicted using a 3-D patient image-based model that is implicitly coupled with a model of at least a portion of the remaining cardiovascular system. The 3-D patient image-based model includes at least a portion of the thoracic aorta and epicardial coronaries of the patient. The shape of one or more velocity profiles at the interface of the models is enforced to control complex flow features of recirculating or retrograde flow thereby minimizing model instabilities and resulting in patient-specific predictions of coronary flow rate and pressure. The invention allows for patient-specific predictions of the effect of different or varying physiological states and hemodynamic benefits of coronary medical interventions, percutaneous coronary interventions and surgical therapies.

    • The present invention relates to a hair iron adapted to reduce hair damage, strengthen hair and facilitate hair styling by blowing air toward the hair. The hair iron of the present invention is further adapted to provide hair with anions or moisture during hair styling. The hair iron includes a pair of cases hinge-jointed at each one end and being freely opened or closed, wherein each case has a heater plate for generating heat at the other end. A fan assembly for blowing air is coupled to the one end of one of the cases. An air passage through which the blown air is passed is formed inside the hair iron. An anion generator is located in the fan assembly, thereby mixing the anions with the air being transferred. Means for providing moisture is disposed adjacent to the heater plate and means for supplying the moisture-providing means with water is received in the recess formed in lower side of the case. Further, the present invention relates to a hair iron constructed without a power cord so as to be utilized without any spatial restriction while possessing all the functions of the hair iron.

    • Disclosed herein is a transparent optical film, including an optically structured layer, which is a sheet formed of a transparent polymeric material and composed of a first surface having three-dimensional structures thereon and a second surface opposite the first surface, and a damage prevention layer formed on the second surface of the optically structured layer and composed of a transparent polymeric material and spherical organic or inorganic particles. The damage prevention layer has protruding surface portions formed by the particles protruding from the transparent polymeric material. The optical film of the current invention is advantageous because the prism structure and the opposite surface of the optical film are prevented from damage due to external impact, vibration and friction, and the attachment of impurities due to frictional static charges is prevented. Further, the front luminance and optical properties of the optical film are improved.
