    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction method for an underground structure, which enables construction to be inexpensively performed in a short period of time, because an auxiliary construction method such as a chemical grouting method becomes unnecessary by preventing the intrusion of groundwater into a fitting portion of a joint in the construction on natural ground with the groundwater.
      SOLUTION: A protective member 30 is mounted in joints (joints to be protected) 6 and 9 for being fitted into a joint of a lining element, inserted into the natural ground in a following manner, among joints of lining elements inserted in a preceding manner into the natural ground, in the state of covering an opening 16 along the longitudinal direction of a fitting groove 15. A gelatinous filler 31 is tightly infilled into the fitting grooves 15 of the joints 6 and 9 to be protected in advance. Additionally, a water-expansible seal member 14 for closing a section between the joint 6 or 9 and a leading end of a curved portion of the joint to be fitted into the joints 6 and 9 is attached.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely, quickly and surely excavate the periphery of a columnar structure with a small earth removal quantity, by highly efficiently and surely sheathing earth, even in a narrow work place.
      SOLUTION: This hydraulic press-in type temporary sheathing method is composed of a process of successively discharging a mixture of sediment and water in a sheathing material 10 to an external part by a vacuum device by pushing the sheathing material 10 in the ground while injecting high pressure water between the columnar structure 6 and the sheathing material 10 by a plurality of hydraulic cylinders 8 interposed between the sheathing material 10 and a reaction receiving frame body 7 by assembling and forming the cylindrical steel plate sheathing material 10 having the predetermined length in a concentric shape with the columnar structure 6, a process of filling an inside space with the sediment, and a process of extracting and removing the sheathing material 10 from the inside of the ground by pushing up an extraction stand by the plurality of hydraulic cylinders interposed between the extraction stand and the ground via a plurality of extraction rod bodies by assembling and forming the extraction stand in an outer peripheral part of the columnar structure 6.
