    • A transcutaneous implantable access port (1) for removal and/or return of fluids of a patient comprising: a fixation unit (3, 31, 33) adapted to be fixed to a bone (100) of the patient; a valve unit(5)comprising a sealing membrane (8) at its distal end and one or more chambers (51, 52) adjacent of said sealing membrane, the valve unit being detachably mounted on the fixation unit such that the distal end of the valve unit protrudes extracorporealy; an internal conduit (4) fluidly connectable to a vascular structure of the patient and releasably connectable to the valve unit such as to establish fluidic communication between the internal conduit and said one or more chambers; and an extracorporeal connecting member (23) having an end portion(74,75); wherein said extracorporeal connecting member is adapted to be connected to the distal end of the valve unit such that said end portion passes through said sealing membrane such as to open a fluidic passage between the connecting member and said one or several chambers and whereby said fluidic passage closes, when the connecting member is respectively connected to the access port and withdrawn therefrom. The access port disclosed herein can be used for high volume removal and/or return of blood or other fluids from the patient.

    • An implantable access port (1) for removal and/or return of fluids to a patient, comprising: an internal conduit (3) adapted to be connected at its proximal end to the access port (1) and at its distal end to a vascular structure of the patient; an external conduit (5) adapted to be connected at its proximal end to the access port (1) and at its distal end to an extracorporeal device; and a transcutaneous coupling member (2) destined to be anchored in a tissue of the patient and comprising a first valve system (7) operable to be in an open or closed configuration to establish or block fluidic communication to and from the internal conduit (3); characterized in that the coupling member (2) further comprises a second valve system (8) adapted to be removably connected to the first valve system (7) and operable to be in an open or closed configuration to establish or block fluidic communication to and from the external conduit (5), such as to establish fluid communication between the internal and external conduits (3, 5) when the first and second valve systems (7, 8) are connected and in the open configuration.
