    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air battery which has higher discharge capacity. SOLUTION: An air-lithium battery 10 includes a lithium negative electrode 15 which is formed of metallic lithium; a positive electrode 13 which includes a catalyst 16, the catalyst 16 containing cerium-aluminum composite oxide, and the catalyst 16 also including a fine hole which has a diameter of 5 nm to 35 nm and has an volume of 0.15 ml/g or more; and nonaqueous electrolyte 18 between the positive electrode 13 and the lithium negative electrode 15. The fine holes of this catalyst 16 have an average diameter of 10 nm to 20 nm. The positive electrode 13 can oxidize and reduce oxygen efficiently and can be used as a secondary battery.
