    • Certain features relate to using a distributed antenna system as a hybrid system for providing wireless communications coverage and operating in a radar security mode. A remote unit is configured for extending wireless communications coverage by communicating signals between a head-end unit and one or more user equipment devices located within the remote unit's coverage area. The remote unit can be configured to obtain motion detection radar information based on movement of persons or objects located within the coverage area of the remote unit. The hybrid distributed antenna system can be configured to selectively operate between modes of providing wireless coverage and providing radar security.

    • A communication device is provided. The communication device can include a processing device for communicating data via a data connection or receiving power via an electrical connection and a connector for providing the data connection or electrical connection. The connector can include at least one terminal and a sensing module. The terminal can be communicatively coupled to the processing device.
