摘要： PURPOSE:To improve improvements in durability, by setting the pressure of a safety space between double diaphragms to that lower than gas pressure at the compressive object side, and keeping each form of these diaphragms in one direction, in the case of a compressor bearing the above caption suitable for a heat pump using a metal hydride. CONSTITUTION:A suction valve 2 and a discharge valve 3 are installed in a diaphragm head 1, and one end of this suction valve 2 is connected to the suction port 4 formed in the head 1 while the other end is interconnected to a compressing space 7 between the head 1 and a first diaphragm. And, one end of the discharge valve 3 is connected to the discharge port 5 formed in the head 1, and the other end is as well interconnected to the compressing space 7. A second diaphragm 8 is installed in the lower part of the first diaphragm 6, and a leak of gas to the outside at time of damage to the first diaphragm 6 is prevented by the second diaphragm 8. And an interspace between both these diaphragms 6 and 8 is set down to a safety space, but in this case, pressure in the space 9 should be set to that lower than negative pressure of gas to be inserted from the suction port 4.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make it possible to allow the taking off and landing of aircraft at the inflow of high density advection fog at a low operating cost by laying panel heaters radiating far infrared rays on the ground surface near a runway with continuous inflow of advection fog like sea fog. CONSTITUTION:Panel heaters 2 coated with ceramic or paint having a high emissivity are laid out on the surface of ground near a runway 1 with continuous inflow of advection fog. The panel heaters 2 are then set such a way that their temperature is raised by solar heat, geothermal energy, industrial waste heat or combustion heat of waste. When advection fog flows in, far infrared rays are radiated into the fog to raise the temperature of fine water droplets in the fog and to evaporate and dissipate the fog. This enables to remove fog from the runway at a low running cost.

摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain liquefied hydrogen cooled down to lower temperature than conventional with refrigeration capacity increased by combining several kinds of metal hydrides different in their hydrogen equilibrium pressure in the hydrogen liquefaction by means of a compressor using metal hydrides. CONSTITUTION:The hydrogen liquefier is equipped with a plurality of vessels for keeping metal hydrides (4a, 5a, 6a) and a liquefied hydrogen tank 16. The metal hydride [MH(M1)1a] kept in one of the vessels is heated (7) and the liberated hydrogen gas is precooled (12, 13, 14), then subjected to free expansion (15) into liquid and stored in the tank 16. Then, the hydrogen gas from the tank 16 is heated (14, 12), and another metal hydride [MH(M3)3a], e.g., kept in the vessel (6a) is cooled down 8 to absorb the hydrogen for recovering. At this time, the metal hydride used for feeding hydrogen (M1) has higher equilibrium hydrogen pressure than the other metal hydride used for recovering (M3).

摘要： PURPOSE:To safely unload a finely pulverized metal hydride from a hydrogen- storage container without danger, by removing hydrogen gas from the container, introducing a volatile neutral liquid free from oil and fat and evaporating the liquid to effect the coagulation of the metal hydride. CONSTITUTION:In the unloading of finely pulverized metal hydride from a container 1, a three-way joint 3 is attached to a main valve 2 for feeding and discharging, a valve 4 is opened, a vacuum pump 5 is operated and hydrogen gas in the container 1 is evacuated. The vacuum pump 5 is stopped, the valve 4 is closed, a valve 6 is opened, a pump 7 is operated and a volatile neutral liquid (e.g. trichloroethylene) free from oil and fat is introduced from a tank 8 into the container 1. When the liquid is introduced at an amount to be sufficient to impregnate the fine powder of metal hydride, the pump 7 is stopped and the valve 6 is closed. The fine powder of metal hydride is coagulated by opening the container 1 and rapidly evaporating the volatile liquid. The coagulated powder is crushed to a proper size and taken out of the container through the opening.

According to the constitution, the number of the CO2 laser beam oscillation equipments is reduced, the reduction in the cost of equipment, the reduction in the area of equipment and the reduction of the operation cost can be made.

CONSTITUTION:Fuel 3 supplied through a fuel pipe 5 is mixed with air from an air inlet 6 in a fuel chamber 7 and burned in the chamber 7. The high- temperature gas of the fuel 3 is directed to the gas path 14 in a radial tube 1 set in a far-infrared-ray radiating panel 19, and the mixture of the gas with open air is pressurized by an air blower 10 and jetted from the opening of a grating 8 through the panel 19 from an exhaust port 13, where fog staying or flowing above the panel 19 is warmed. The mixture of the gas and open air is jetted from the opening of the upper grating 8 of the panel 19.
