    • A transparent display device, for example a "head-up" display for motor vehicles, comprises a substrate of transparent material (2), one or more light sources (4), for example in the form of chip-LEDs, applied to the said substrate (2), a plurality of conductive electrical paths (5) for providing a electrical supply to the light sources (4), applied onto the substrate (2), a transparent layer of synthetic resin (6) applied over the substrate (2), into which are incorporated the light sources (4) and the conductive paths (5), and an overlager (7) of transparent material applied over the layer of resin (6). At least some of the conductive paths (5) are covered with an opaque layer (8) which presents a substantial absorption in the visible spectrum, avoiding or substantially reducing reflection by the conductive paths of light rays coming from the light sources (4) which are propagated by reflection and refraction between the substrate and the overlager. In a variant, some portions of the conductive paths are left without the opaque layer (8), for the purpose of functioning as auxiliary light sources for illuminating depictions of symbols or icons which are formed on top of the transparent overlager.

    • An intravascular device that can be injected into the bloodstream of a human or animal body, comprising at least one micro-tank, with dimensions not exceeding 10 µm, containing a medicinal substance (5), and able to go from a closed configuration to an open configuration with consequent release of the medicinal as a result of an input signal coming from a source outside the human or animal body. The micro-tank (1) is defined by at least one film (2), capable of going from the aforesaid closed configuration and the aforesaid open configuration as a result of a temperature rise caused by the aforesaid said input signal. The film can, for example, be a bi-metallic film or a film comprising at least a shape memory layer. The input signal can be constituted by an electromagnetic radiation that causes the temperature of the material constituting the micro-tank to rise, due to the electrical currents induced therein, without substantially altering the temperature of the body tissues.
