    • PURPOSE: To provide a heat resisting Al alloy having superior strength at ordinary and high temps. and suitable as a blank material for engine parts, by adding a proper amount of Mg to a Al-Mn-Fe type alloy having a specific composition and by restricting the amounts of Mn and Fe.
      CONSTITUTION: A heat resisting Al alloy consisting of, by weight, 6W8.5% Mn, 0.5W2% Fe, 0.03W0.5% Zr, 1.5%W4% Mg and the balance Al with inevitable impurities. Since the alloy having this composition comprises Mg in an amount equivalent to the restricted amount of Mn and Fe, a remarkable improvement can be done over a wide temp. range without exerting any influence on Mn compounds. This alloy can be formed from particle powder produced by atomizing, causing neither segredation nor coarsening of particles.
