摘要： The present invention provides a balloon catheter with a length compensator, which can be an accordion section or a slipping sleeve section. In the accordion section embodiment of the invention, the outer shaft of the catheter includes an accordion section positioned proximally of the balloon. In this embodiment the length compensator is comprised of the accordion section and the outer shaft between the accordion section and the point where the proximal end of the balloon is attached to the outer shaft. The distal end of the balloon is attached to an inner shaft. As the balloon is inflated the accordion section expands to adjust the axial length of the length compensator to compensate for the movement of the two ends of the balloon towards each other. In the slipping sleeve embodiment of the invention, the inner shaft of the catheter includes a slipping sleeve section positioned proximally of the point where the distal end of the balloon is connected to the inner shaft. As the balloon is expanded, the slipping sleeve section contracts, adjusting the axial length of the length compensator to compensate for the shrinkage of the balloon as it expands into contact with the vasculature.

The stent delivery system comprises a catheter having a stent receiving portion adapted to receive a stent near the distal end of the catheter and a stent concentrically arranged around the catheter within the stent receiving portion. The stent delivery system further comprises a proximal outer sheath, a retractable distal sheath surrounding at least a portion of the stent and containing the stent in its reduced delivery configuration and a pull back means connected to the retractable distal sheath. The system further comprises a collapsible sheath concentrically arranged around the catheter and located between the retractable distal sheath and the proximal outer sheath, whereby when the pull back means is pulled proximally the distal sheath is retracted, causing the collapsible sheath to collapse and freeing the stent for delivery.

摘要： A surgically implanted occluding assembly comprises an implant body having a longitudinally split generally “C”-shaped cross-section tube circumscribing an anatomical lumen. In one embodiment, the surgically implanted occluding assembly is a male continence device selectively occluding a urethra. In some embodiments an occluding magnet is rigidly affixed with the implant body, and an external selective occlusion control assembly is used to selectively activate the surgically implanted occluding assembly. The external assembly has a magnet, and body supporting the magnet. The external selective occlusion control assembly is configured to be selectively placed and retained adjacent to the surgically implanted occluding assembly. In some embodiments, a bi-stable spring longer than and spanning the longitudinal split in the implant body has a first stable anatomical lumen occluding position curved into an interior of the longitudinal split, and a second stable anatomical lumen open position curved outward exterior of the longitudinally split tube.

摘要： The present invention is a device for use in cleaning a fabric surface of dust, dirt, pet hair and other debris present on the surface. The device includes a housing coupled to a base. The base is coupled to at least one movable cleaning member configured to engage a surface for picking up debris from the surface. The debris is deposited into a debris collection chamber by way of interaction with another portion of the device. The debris collection chamber is selectively emptiable by an operator thereof so that the device may be subsequently reused.

摘要： A closure device for sealing a patent foramen ovale (PFO) in the heart includes a left atrial anchor adapted to be placed in a left atrium of the heart, a tether fixedly connected to the left atrial anchor and adapted to extend through the passageway of the PFO, a right atrial anchor adapted to be placed in a right atrium of the heart and moved along the tether, and a lock for securing the position of the right atrial anchor along the tether. The left and right atrial anchors preferably include a plurality of arms formed as loops and may include means for securing each arm in case of fracture in the loop. After the closure device is positioned, a cutting tool may sever the portion of the tether proximal of the right atrial anchor. The closure device can be retrieved during delivery, including by use of a snare catheter.
