摘要： A transparent image-recording sheet suitable for use in a plain paper copier, comprising a transparent backing having two major surfaces, said sheet having a machine direction, and a transverse direction, at least one of the major surfaces having coated thereon, a transparent water-based toner-receptive coating comprising:a) from about 65 to about 99.9 parts of an imageable polymer;b) from about 0.1 to about 15 parts of at least one polymeric particle having a mean particle size ranging from about 1 .mu.m to about 15 .mu.m, andc) from 0 to about 20 parts of an antistatic agent,the toner-receptive coating being coated onto the transparent backing at a time during manufacture of the backing selected from the group consisting ofa) before any orientation of said film, andb) after uniaxial orientation in the machine direction.

摘要： An image recording sheet and a transparent water-based toner receptive coating therefore comprising an imaging copolymer formed from at least one monomer selected from the group consisting of bicyclic alkyl (meth) acrylates, aliphatic alkyl (meth)acrylates having from about one to about 12 carbon atoms, aromatic (meth)acrylates, and a polar monomer having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R is hydrogen or methyl, R.sub.1 and R2 may be hydrogen, identical or differing alkyl groups having up to about 8 carbon atoms, preferably up to about 2 carbon atoms, or the quaternary cationic salts thereof, at least one novel long chain polymeric particle having good antifriction characteristics and optionally, an antistatic agent selected from the group consisting of cationic agents, anionic agents, fluorinated agents, and nonionic agents.

摘要： A method of making a repositionable adhesive backed photo media is provided. The method includes the steps of (a) providing an imageable substrate or providing a photograph; (b) providing an attachment mechanism having a carrier film with opposing first and second surfaces; a thermally activating adhesive disposed on the first surface; a repositionable adhesive disposed on the second surface; and a liner disposed on the repositionable adhesive; (c) stacking the imageable substrate or stacking the photograph with the attachment mechanism; and (4) exposing the stack to heat causing the thermally activating adhesive to bond to the imageable substrate or the photograph.

摘要： The disclosure is a gift wrap material affixable to a target surface. The gift wrap material comprises a linerless opaque first substrate. The first substrate has a first major surface and a second major surface. A selective adhesion mechanism is disposed on the first major surface. The selective adhesion mechanism includes a pressure sensitive adhesive and is configured so as to provide a first adhesion force to the target surface before activation of the mechanism and a second adhesion force to the substrate after activation of the mechanism. The first adhesion force is at a level so as to allow the sheet to be positionable on the target surface. The invention also is a method for wrapping a gift. A linerless opaque first substrate is provided. The substrate has a first major surface, a second major surface and a selective adhesion mechanism disposed on the first major surface. The first major surface is positioned against the gift with substantially no adhesion of the first substrate to the gift. The selective adhesion mechanism is activated by applying a force to the second major surface. The first substrate is adhered to the gift.

The liner has opposing first and second surfaces, the first surface having a higher release value compared to the second surface. The adhesive composite includes a repositionable adhesive, a support layer disposed on the repositionable adhesive, the support layer having a stiffness of less than about 50,000 Newton per meter in its cross-web direction, as measured according to ASTM 882-02, and a permanent pressure sensitive adhesive disposed on the support layer. The adhesive composite is disposed on the liner such that the repositionable adhesive is in contact with the first surface of the liner. The photograph print has opposing first and second surfaces, the first surface containing an image and the second surface disposed on the permanent adhesive.
