    • Video clips (160) are selected for viewing or recording in a video system (160) based on songs that are selected for play in an audio system (110). A history (120) of audio selections is maintained, and based on this history (120), the system identifies ‘favorite’ songs. The system searches sources of video material for video clips (160) that are related to the favorite songs, and records the clips (160). When a favorite song is subsequently selected for play (410), the video system is configured to also play (440), or offer to play (430), the corresponding video clip (160). Optionally, the system is configured to store (390) the location of previously recorded video clips, such as the location of the clip in a user's video collection, or the URL of the clip in a computer network, such as the Internet.

    • A method and system for transferring information from a base system (110) to a mobile system (120) based on a history of usage of information at the base system (110). Recently used files at the base system (110) are transferred to the mobile system (120), without express user interaction. Select files or directories may be marked as ‘never download’, but absent this designation, any file on the base system (110) is a potential candidate for downloading to a mobile system (120). Rules are established to prioritize (220) download candidates, as well as to determine how much (240) of the candidate information to download. In a preferred embodiment, the downloading occurs on a continuing basis (315-335), so that an explicit download command need not be executed. This downloading is configured to occur in a non-interfering manner with explicit download systems and methods (340-360). Security schemes may also be included to avoid security breaches associated with an automated download.

    • The invention relates to the automatic creation of an atmosphere, particularly a lighting atmosphere, based on a keyword input such as a keyword typed or spoken by a user. A basic idea of the invention is to enable a user of an atmosphere creation system such as a lighting system to automatically create a specific atmosphere by simply using a keyword which is input to the system. The keyword, for example “eat”, “read”, “relax”, “sunny”, “cool”, “party”, “Christmas”, “beach”, may be spoken or typed by the user and may enable the user to find and explore numerous atmospheres in an interactive and playful way in embodiments of the invention. Finding atmosphere elements related to the keyword may be done in various ways according to embodiments of the invention. The invention allows also a non expert in designing or creating atmosphere scenes to control the creation of a desired atmosphere in an atmosphere creation system.
