    • PURPOSE:To previously prevent the occurrence of buckling of a belt layer for improving the turning performance by arranging a belt reinforcing layer between the belt layer and a carcass layer so that the inclination of the cords thereof is approximately perpendicular to the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION:A low aspect ratio radial tire comprises a belt layer 2 consisting of inner layers 21 that have been crossed to each other over the full length of the tread of a carcass layer 1 and an outer layer 22, and on the outside in the radial direction thereof a cap layer 31 arranged nearly in parallel with the circumferential direction of the tire so as to cover the entire width of the belt layer 2 with organic fiber cords, and further layer layers 32 arranged in both side regions of the belt layer 2. In this case, a belt reinforcing layer 4 is arranged A between the inner layers 21 of the belt layer 2 and the carcass layer 1 in such a way that the cords such as 'Kevlar' are arranged at approximately 90 deg. to the circumferential direction of the tire so as to have a width W1 capable of covering the width W0 between the main grooves S0 and S0 on the outermost side but narrower than the maximum width W2 of the belt. Thus, the occurrence of buckling can be previously prevented without causing the reduction in cornering force.

    • PURPOSE:To properly maintain a good ground contact area even at the time of braking by forming a ground contact slant surface having a higher circumferential forward end coming first in contact with the ground in travel on a block separated with the circumferential and lateral grooves of a tread. CONSTITUTION:A tire comprises a pair of side walls 10, and a cylindrical crown part 20 at the radial external end thereof toroidally continuous to each other, and a tread T in contact with a road around the crown part 20. The tread T has a plurality of blocks 60 formed with a plurality of circumferential grooves 30-32 along an equatorial surface 0, and a plurality of lateral grooves orthogonal therewith. In the aforesaid construction, the ground contact area 60A of the blocks 60 is made to have a higher circumferential forward end part 60B coming first in contact with a road during travel, and a lower circumferential rear end part 60C coming later in contact with the road. According to the aforesaid construction, a ground contact area is properly maintained with the ground contact slant surface, even when the blocks 60 are subjected to a strong braking force.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration in maneuvering stability and traction performance by arranging sipes in areas surrounded by blocks and/or a rib, providing a cross-sectional shape bending in a crack shape, and arranging so that the side close to the surface becomes the center side and the distant side becomes the outside. SOLUTION: A tire has a rib 31 and blocks 41, 42 formed out of five circumferential directional grooves 11 to 13 extending in parallel in the circumferential direction and a large number of inclined grooves 21 to 23. Sipes 51 to 56 are formed in this rib 31 and the blocks 41, 42, and a areas 61 to 63 surrounded by the sipes are formed in the rib 31 and the blocks 41, 42. The sipes 51 to 56 have cross-sectional shape bending in a crank shape, the side close to the tread surface is positioned on the center side of the blocks 41, 42 or the rib 31, and the side distant from the surface is positioned on the outside of the blocks 41, 42 or the rib 31 to thereby be excellent in maneuvering stability and snow road traveling time traction performance.

    • PURPOSE:To let a driver know decrease in the internal pressure of a tire at an early stage by forming oblique grooves on the tread such that the pattern noise becomes large when the internal pressure of the tire is decreased. CONSTITUTION:The tread T of a tire includes numerous oblique grooves 8 arranged to converge in directions toward the equator O of the tire and land portions 9 defined by the oblique grooves 8. The oblique grooves 8 are so formed that they are essentially symmetric with respect to a straight line of the equator O of a tire at the time of tire internal pressure not being filled and the ground-touch outline formed at one end of a ground-touch surface and the angle of the oblique groove of groove 8 (white portion) are nearly in agreement at the time of being loaded with puncturing. Organic fiber cords forming a belt layer 4 are so formed that they are inclined on the side of inclination at an angle alpha of 5-25 degrees with respect to the direction of tire turning- round at the time of vulcanizing molding or of tire usage with rim fitting, with the internal pressure filled.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a pneumatic tire in which the noise suppressing performance is improved without sacrificing the drainage performance. CONSTITUTION:As for a tire having a plurality of straight line shaped circumferential direction grooves 20 which extend in parallel in substantially endless form in the circumferential direction of the tire on a tread surface part, a plurality of weirs 40 made of polyvinyl alcohol which possesses the property of being softened after water absorption and being hardened when dried are fixing-arranged on the periphery of the tread so as to extend from at least one side wall of the circumferential direction groove to the other side wall. In the traveling on a wet road surface, the weir is softened, and the water flow in the circumferential direction groove is not obstructed, and the superior drainage performance can be secured. In the traveling on a dry road surface, the weir is hardened, and the resonance of air column in the circumferential direction groove is obstructed, and noise can be effectively reduced. Accordingly, the noise can be suppressed advantageously, and the superior traveling feeling as a tire for high speed traveling can be realized.

    • PURPOSE:To properly maintain a good ground contact area even at the time of cornering by forming a ground contact slant surface on a land part divided with the circumferential grooves of treads in such a way as to be lower by the predetermined distance than a specific reference surface at an axial outer end, and higher at an inner end by the predetermined distance. CONSTITUTION:A tire comprises a pair of side walls 10, and a cylindrical crown part 20 at the radial external end thereof toroidally continuous to each other, and a tread T in contact with a road around the crow part 20. The tread T has a plurality of land parts 42 formed with a plurality of circumferential grooves 30-32 along an equatorial surface 0. In the aforesaid construction, the ground contact area slope 42A of the land parts 42 and so forth has an axial external end 42B with height h' 0.05 mm to 1 mm lower than a reference surface S. Also, the height h of an axial inner end 42C is made 0.05 to 1 mm higher than the reference surface. According to the aforesaid construction, a good ground contact area can be maintained even when the land parts 42 and so forth are subjected to a lateral force particularly at the time of cornering.
