    • PURPOSE: To prevent damage of the hull of a ship due to a knot from occurring and to contrive a reduction of weight and an improvement in durability, by a method wherein the baggy body made of the net of a floating type fender is made into an item formed of a polyester fiber rope and a coat of urethane rubber is applied to each of knots.
      CONSTITUTION: A baggy body 2 made of a net is formed by plaiting a fiber rope 3 made of polyester fiber into it, in a floating type fender making the fender 1 formed of hollow rubber-baggy foamed plastics put in the baggy body 2 made of the net moored to the side of a ship and a quay wall through a mooring wire 4. A coat 10 of urethane rubber is applied to each of knots. With this construction, damage of the hnll of a ship through a knot can be prevented from occurring and a raduction of weight and an improvement in durability can be contrived further.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce conveyor belts having a durability by arranging multiple conveyor belts with an upper rubber layer, a lower rubber layer, and a reinforced layer between these layers simultaneously in the lateral direction for production. SOLUTION: In process A, those component members of a conveyor belt 10 in which two reinforced layers 13 and lower rubber layer 12 are superposed are cut and divided into pieces in the lateral direction. In a process B, a side rubber layer 15 is inserted additionally into the divided parts of the component members and both end parts of the component members in the lateral direction. In a process C, a rubber layer 11 is installed pressingly on the component members through the entire length in the lateral direction so as to form a conveyor belt 10. Also, in a process D, the belt conveyor 10 is vulcanized and, in a process E, the vulcanized and formed conveyor belt 10 is cut at a position corresponding to the divided parts and multiple conveyor belts 10 are arranged in the lateral direction so as to complete them at the same time. As a result, half-finished products give integrated feeling in the lateral direction, and smooth vulcanizing process is provided. Thus productivity can be increased.

    • PURPOSE:To effectively prevent the damage to a fender and a broadside at the time of coming and during alongside the pier with a simple structure by providing a through hole which is directed perpendicularly to the extending direction of one bar member while being directed nearly in parallel to the other bar member on each end portion of a rigid cross structure body. CONSTITUTION:By making the detent of the link pin 7 of each shackle 5 with respect to each through hole 14, 15, chains 3 can be linked to a cross portion structure body via the shackles 5 and, in this linked condition, the link pins 7 are directed nearly in parallel to the peripheral face of a fender. The cross portion structure body is placed in the center portion of its buffer member 16 and the chains 3 are linked to the cross portion structure body to form a chain net. Thereby, at the time of coming alongside the pier of a ship, the collision impact to the fender, the cross portion structure body opposite to the broadside, and the chains 3 which are included in the chain net can be sufficiently relieved while also effectively preventing the abrasion of the fender and broadside during coming alongside pier.

    • PURPOSE:To improve dimensional stability, air-tightness, strength and durability of a rubber bag, by adhering a rubber layer and a reinforcing layer on the inner circumferential faces of molds for a trunk part and a mirror part made of a rigid material and connecting them each other in a state where they are being combined. CONSTITUTION:A specific rubber sheet 2 and 4 and a rubber coated canvas 5 are adhered on the inner circumferential faces of a mold 1 for a trunk part and a mold 3 for a mirror part to form a trunk part and a cap-shaped mirror part. Then, both ends of the mold 1 for the trunk part are connected with the mold 3 for the mirror part in a specific relation of positioning. Then, a rubber sheet 11 which can completely fill the gap of about 200mm formed by the rubber sheet 2 adhered on the mold 1 for the trunk part and the rubber sheet 4 adhered on the mold 3 for the mirror part, is adhered in the circumferential direction by striding over both molds 1 and 3 and moreover, a rubber coated canvas 12 adhering strongly on the inner circumference is adhered in the circumferential direction. The trunk part 9 and the cap-shaped mirror part 10 are thereby mutually connected and vulcanization is carried out after molding a rubber bag.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the directivity of a floating type fender to advantage by using the fender consisting of a columner core formed by bonding and laminating closed cellular elastic expanded flat plates and a rubber outer skin covering the whole area of the fender for protecting from contact of side-board. CONSTITUTION:A floating fender for protecting from contact of side-board is made up of a columnar core 2 formed by bonding and laminating closed cellular elastic expanded flat plates 1 and an outer rubber skin 6 covering the whole area of the fender. Each elastic expanded flat plate 1 used in the columnar core 2 has plural radial bonding faces 5 and diametrical bonding faces 5, and they are arranged in a dispersed manner around the axis of the columnar core 2, in every several numbers, each of which exhibits non-directivity with respect to compressive deformation resistance for the whole of the columnar core 2. The size of the fender having excellent fending performance can thus be enlarged.

CONSTITUTION:A square hole 13 is formed in an annular member 11, and the male screw parts of the leg parts of an U-bolt 12 are inserted through mating through-holes extending at right angles with the axis of the annular member and formed in the central part in the direction of the thickness of the annular member 11 and are secured by means of nuts 16. In this case, the final link of a chain is mounted to the U-shaped part and the U-bolt 12. This constitution removes a projected part protruded from the surface and the back side of the annular member 11, and enables prevention of damage of a fender and a gunnal due to the presence of a coupling ring.

At the position being just correspond ing with the contour of the adhered inner rubber, a belt-like canvas cloth 5 is adhered on the reinforcing materials 3 and 4, and thereafter an inner rubber 6 is adhered. Then, an inner rubber 8 is placed through a releasing agent 7 and the circumferential part is pressed. The projected part of the belt-like canvas cloth 5 from the inner rubbers 6 and 8 and the projected part of the reinforcing materials 3 and 4 from the inner rubber 6 and 8 are folded and thereon adhered. A reinforcing material 9 in the axial direction, a reinforcing material 10 in the circumferential direction and a cover rubber 11 are adhered thereon and this cover rubber 11 and the cover rubber 2 of the lowest layer are connected to each other to constitute a laminated structure 12. A belt-like sheet is would compactly outside of the salvage rubber 13 and the laminated structure 12 and vulcanized by pressing and heating.

The plaiting is made into a shape to be obtained by bending fiber ropes 3a, 3b zigzag and is carried out at the bent part by penetrating the adjoining one side fiber rope 3a through a space I of a twine of the other fiber rope 3b. With this construction, a knot can be made small, damage of the hull of a ship through a knot is prevented from occurring and a reduction of weight and an improvement in durability can be contrived.
