    • The present invention relates to a process for preparing a propylene random copolymer comprising polymerisation of propylene with a comonomer, said comonomer being ethylene or an α-olefin comprising at least four carbon atoms, in the presence of a catalyst in a multistage process comprising polymerisation of propylene with a comonomer in a first reaction zone including at least one slurry reactor to give a first polymerisation product, transferring said first product to a second reaction zone including at least one gas phase reactor and polymerisations of propylene with a comonomer in said gas phase reactor in the presence of said first polymerisation product, wherein the temperature in the gas phase reactor is at least 10 °C higher than in the slurry reactor and to a polymer obtainable by this process. Furthermore, the invention relates to a propylene random copolymer prepared by copolymerisation of propylene with a comonomer wherein the distribution of the comonomer determined according to the TREF method is multimodal, preferably bimodal, a propylene random copolymer prepared by copolymerisation of propylene with a comonomer wherein the copolymer is having an elution interval determined according to the TREF method of 50 °C or more, a propylene random copolymer prepared by copolymerisation of propylene with a comonomer, wherein the random copolymer is a unimodal polymer and the elution interval determined by the TREF method is given by the equation Y ≤ 4.5 . m + 16 wherein Y is the elution interval in °C and m is the percentage of ethylene in the copolymer in wt.%, and to the use of such a copolymers for the production of a film, of an article by blow moulding or injection moulding, of a fibre or of a pipe.

    • A pressureless polymer pipe, a composition therefore, and a process of preparing the composition are described. The pipe is characterised in that the polymer comprises a propylene polymer composition where the propylene base polymer is a heterophasic propylene copolymer having a matrix of a propylene homopolymer and a dispersed phase of an elastomeric copolymer of propylene and at least one olefin comonomer; has a comonomer content of 2-7 % by weight, based on the weight of the heterophasic propylene copolymer; has a melt flow rate MFR (2/230), determined according to ISO 1133 C4, of 0.1-2.0 g/10 min; has a broad molecular weight distribution as defined by its rheology shear thinning index, SHI 0/50 , measured at 200 ° C of 9-30; has a tensile modulus, determined according to ISO 527-2/1B at 1 mm/min and 23 ° C of at least 1800 MPa; has an impact strength, determined according to ISO 179/1eA of at least 6 kJ/m 2 at 0°C and at least 2 kJ/m 2 at -20'C.     • The present invention provides a polyolefin composition comprising: (a) a propylene homopolymer component (A), and (b) a propylene random copolymer component (B) comprising repeating units derived from at least one comonomer selected from the group consisting of ethylene and α-olefin monomers, wherein the random propylene copolymer component (B) has an MFR2 of from 0.5 to 15, and wherein the propylene homopolymer component (A) may comprise up to 1 -wt% of at least one comonomer selected from the group consisting of ethylene and α-olefin monomers, and wherein the MRF2 ratio of component (A)/component (B) is equal to or greater than 5.
