    • The invention relates to herbicidal agents containing A) 2-[2-chloro-3-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxymethyl)-4-methylsulfonyl-benzoyl]cyclohexane-1.3-dion and B) at least one compound from the group ethoxysulfuron, flumetsulam, halosulfuron, imazamox, imazapyr, imazaquin, imazethapyr, metosulam, nicosulfuron, primisulfuron, prosulfuron, rimsulfuron, thifensulfuron-methyl, triflusulfuron, foramsulfuron, ametryne, atrazine, bromoxynil, cyanazine, diuron, hexazinone, metribuzin, pyridate, terbuthylazine, 2.4-D, clopyralid, dicamba, diflufenzopyr, fluroxypyr, butylate, EPTC, fenoxaprop-P-ethyl, acetochlor, alachlor, dimethenamid, flufenacet, mefenacet, metolachlor, thenylchlor, S-metolachlor, fluthiacet-methyl, carfentrazone-ethyl, hydroxy-1-methyl-3-isoxaflutole, mesotrione, sulcotrione, 4-(4-trifluoromethyl-2-methylsulfonylbenzoyl)-5-methylpyrazol, glyphosate, pendimethalin, trifluralin, asulam, triaziflam, diflufenican and glufosinate-ammonium against monocotyle and/oder dicotyle harmful plants. Said agents have an advantegeous effect compared to individually applied herbicides.

    • A composition contains an active agent combination of: 2-(2-chloro-3-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxymethyl)-4-methylsulfonyl-benzoyl)-cyclohexane-1,3-dione (I); and at least one of about 55 other specific herbicides, e.g. ethoxysulfuron, formasulfuron, atrazine, 2,4-D, dicamba, acetochlor, pendimethalin, diflufenican, glyphosate or glufosinate. A herbicidal composition contains an active agent combination of: (a) 2-(2-chloro-3-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxymethyl)-4-methylsulfonyl-benzoyl)-cyclohexane-1,3-dione (I) or its salt; and (b) at least one other herbicide selected from: (i) the branched aminoacid biosynthesis inhibitors ethoxysulfuron, flumetsulam, halosulfuron, imazamox, imazapyr, imazaquin, imazethapyr, metosulam, nicosulfuron, primisulfuron, prosulfuron, rimsulfuron, thifensulfuron-methyl, triflusulfuron and foramsulfuron; (ii) the photosynthesis electron transport inhibitors ametryne, atrazine, bromoxynil, cyanazine, diuron, hexazinone, metribuzin, pyridate and terbuthylazine; (iii) the synthetic auxins 2,4-D, clopyralid, dicamba, diflufenzopyr and fluroxypyr; (iv) the fatty acid biosynthesis inhibitors butylate, EPTC and fenoxaprop-P-ethyl; (v) the mitosis inhibitors acetochlor, alachlor, dimethenamid, flufenacet, mefenacet, metolachlor, thenylchlor and S-metalochlor, (6) the protoporphyrinogen oxidase inhibitors fluthiacet-methyl and carfentrazone-ethyl; (vi) the hydroxyphenyl pyruvate dioxygenase inhibitors isoxaflutole, mesotrione, sulcotrione and 4-(4-trifluoromethyl-2-methylsulfonyl-benzoyl)-5-hydroxy-1-methyl-3-methylpyrazole; (vii) glyphosate; (viii) pendimethalin; (ix) trifluralin; (x) asulam; (xi) triaziflam; (xii) diflufenican; and (xiii) glufosinate-ammonium. The weight ratio of (A) to (B) is 1-2000:2000-1. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling undesirable weed growth, involving applying the combination of (A) and (B) to at least part of the plants or to the plant growth area. ACTIVITY : Herbicide. In post-emergence tests, the herbicidal ratings against Galium aparine were 50 % for 75 g/ha of (I), 30 % for 200 g/ha of atrazine and 90 % (compared with a predicted value of 68 %) for a combination of 75 g/ha (Ia) and 200 g/ha atrazine.
