    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a motor capable of stably pressing brushes and restraining the generation of brush operating noises as well as of reducing the number of parts and improving the ease of assembly. SOLUTION: A brush spring 50 which supports the respective brushes 34, 36 is constituted as a single part having a pair of extension portions 54, 56 formed by integrally being extended from a coil portion 52 and both the edges of the coil portion 52 respectively in this motor 10. The respective brushes 34, 36 are pressed toward a rectifier 24 respectively by the pair of extension portions 54, 56 of the brush spring 50 formed as the single part. Therefore, the brush spring 50 for generating brush pressure shows a simple structure, and it is possible to provide a reduction in the number of parts and improvement ease of assembly. Moreover, the single structured brush spring 50 supports (presses) the plurality of brushes 34, 36 respectively, therefore, it is possible to stably press the respective brushes 34, 36, and to restrain the generation of operating noises of the brushes 34, 36, thus extending the life of the brushes. Then the control-circuit device 101 of the electric sliding door device 1 judges the presence or absence of the foreign substance placed in the proximity of the sensor electrode 53 based on the voltage value of the capacitance detection signal everytime the door panel moves by only a detection distance during the closing operation of the door panel. Then the control-circuit device 101 shortens the detection distance when it has detected that the door panel has been arranged in a first door position set between a full-opening position and a full-closing position.
