摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric snow melting device forming body for a slab turnout, which forms an electric snow melting device directly attached to the turnout set on a slab, and efficiently heats the turnout, to thereby ensure positive rail switching operation.
SOLUTION: In the formation of the electric snow melting device forming body, a regulating plate having heat resistance imparted thereto and a rubber pad superposed on each other, are arranged between the slab and a floor board which bears a rail, and the floor board is mounted on the regulating plate and the rubber pad, which are then fixed together in one body by a horizontal pressure bearing fitting. Then a heater holding frame is secured to a side surface of a bearing portion bearing a tongue rail of the floor board, in one body, and the heater holding frame firmly holds a heater in the form of a wire or a rod so as to make contact with the side surface of the tongue rail bearing portion.

Weather information of a turnout installation part is acquired through the Internet, the electric snow melting device 28 is turned on when a heavy snowfall warning or the like is issued, and presence/absence of snowfall is detected by a snowfall sensor 24 near the turnout when it is not issued. When there is a snowfall, the electric snow melting device 28 is turned on. When there is no snowfall, the electric snow melting device 28 is turned off when it is not winter. When it is winter, the winter is divided into a winter starting period, a severe winter period, and a winter ending period, a rail temperature to turn on the electric snow melting device 28 and a rail temperature to turn it off are set for the respective periods, and the electric snow melting device 28 is turned on/off.
