    • A pavement crack router includes a plurality of bits rotatably mounted to a frame in a direction. A ratchet gear is rotatable with a wheel mounted to the frame. A movable safety release is operably connected to a ratchet rod pivotable between an engaging position engaged with the ratchet gear preventing rotation of the wheel in a reverse direction and a releasing position disengaged from the ratchet gear allowing free rotation of the wheel. An elastomeric inner tube is mounted around a lower end of each of two handle bars and is slideably received in an outer tube fixed to the frame. Two elastomeric washers are mounted around the lower end of each handle bar and sandwich the inner tube within the outer tube. A switch is operable to lower the frame and bits for opening and cleaning a crack in pavement.

    • The present invention is a communication system for implementation on-board an aircraft. The communication system includes an Audio Control Panel (ACP) including a first input device associated with an installed component and a second input device associated with an uninstalled component. The communication system further includes a Radio Interface Unit (RIU) which is communicatively coupled to the ACP. The communication system further includes an Engine Indicating and Crew Alerting System (EICAS) which includes a Display Management Computer (DMC), the EICAS being communicatively coupled to the RIU and an Aircraft Personality Module (APM) of the communication system. The DMC may be configured for evaluating an input device status (generated based upon an input received via the second input device) against an APM configuration file, and based upon said evaluation, providing an aural and/or visual alert to a user that an input device associated with an uninstalled component has been activated.

    • A method of changing a preselect altitude value includes receiving an input from a pilot. In response, the preselect altitude value is changed by a first amount from a current preselect altitude value toward a minimum altitude value. The first amount that the preselect altitude value is changed by is dependent upon a proximity of the current preselect altitude value to the minimum altitude value such that if a difference between the current preselect altitude value and the minimum altitude value is greater than a first predetermined interval, the first amount is equal to the first predetermined interval. If the difference between the current preselect altitude value and the minimum altitude value is less than the first predetermined interval, then the first amount is less than the first interval, for example resulting in the preselect altitude value being set directly to the minimum altitude value.
