    • A manually guided implement, such as a power saw, a cut-off machine, or the like, having a drive motor for driving a tool of the implement. The drive motor has a drive shaft that is rotatably driven about an axis of rotation. The implement has a handle on which is disposed at least one control handle for the drive motor. Formed between the handle and the drive motor is a vibration space that is spanned by at least one anti-vibration element, at least one of which includes a coil spring, the longitudinal axis of which is disposed approximately perpendicular to a longitudinal plane of the implement. The vibration space is spanned by at least one connecting element, the longitudinal axis of which is inclined relative to a transverse plane of the implement that is disposed perpendicular to the longitudinal plane.

A first ramp is positioned perpendicularly to the connecting slot and slants upwardly from the rebound wall to the outlet opening. A second ramp extends in a direction of longitudinal extension of the connecting slot from an end of the insertion slot opposite the first ramp to the edge of the first ramp opposite the connecting slot.

    • A vibration damper is disposed between two components (2, 3) of a portable handheld work apparatus (4). The vibration damper is held especially between a housing (6), which holds an internal combustion engine (5), and a handle (7) which is fixed on the housing (6) for guiding the work apparatus (4). The vibration damper includes a coil spring (9) and respective attachment elements (11, 12) at the ends (10, 13) of the coil spring. A coupling member (17) is provided to ensure that the work apparatus can be guided notwithstanding a break of a coil spring. The coupling member (17) projects through the coil spring (9) and bridges the axial distance (16) between the attachment elements (11 and 12). The coupling member (17) is connected to each attachment element (11, 12) so that it cannot separate therefrom.

    • A portable handheld work apparatus includes: a vibration suppressor for suppressing translatory vibrations occurring during operation of the work apparatus. A drive motor drives the vibration suppressor which defines a rotational axis. The vibration suppressor includes a suppression mass mounted at a radius from the rotational axis for generating an imbalance and, as a consequence of the imbalance, the suppression mass generates an rpm-dependent translatory vibration. A spring applies a resilient biasing force to the suppression mass in opposition to an rpm-dependent centrifugal force applied to the suppression mass during the rotation. The suppression mass is mounted so as to be radially movable along a path under the action of these forces. The suppression mass defines first and second equilibrium positions along the path at first and second radii from the rotational axis corresponding to first and second rpms of the vibration suppressor. The biasing force and the centrifugal force conjointly define a resultant force for effecting an rpm-dependent position transfer of the suppression mass between the first and second equilibrium positions in both directions.

    • The invention is directed to a motor-driven chain saw having a housing and a guide bar extending forward of the housing. The guide bar is clamped between the housing and a sprocket wheel cover. A brake device having a trigger configured as a hand guard is mounted in the sprocket wheel cover. The sprocket wheel is brought to standstill by the brake device when the trigger is actuated. With the sprocket wheel cover assembled, the hand guard is disposed transversely in front of the upper handle of the chain saw. In order to obtain a reliable triggering of the brake device, for example, during kickback and for a manual triggering at all areas of the hand guard, the hand guard is supported in a second bearing on the housing of the chain saw when mounting the sprocket wheel cover. In this way, torques acting in a direction opposite to the actuation of the hand guard are substantially avoided which could otherwise occur because of bearing play.
