    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochromic display device using, in particular, an electrochromic element and a thin film battery element.SOLUTION: The electrochromic display device includes an electrochromic element 10 including a first electrochromic layer 5 connected to an electrode conductive layer 2, a second electrochromic layer 7 spaced from the first electrochromic layer in a height direction, and an electrolyte layer 8 disposed in the space between them; and a thin film battery element 11 supported so as to be able to apply a voltage between respective electrochromic layers. The thin film battery element 11 includes a collector 12, a first battery electrode layer 13 connected to the collector 12, and a second battery electrode layer 15 laminated on the first battery electrode layer 13 via a solid electrolyte layer 14, and the second electrochromic layer 7 is connected to a rear surface 12a and an opposite front surface 12b of the collector 12.
