    • To provide a process of treating particulates such as an inorganic powder or resin beads to impart water repellency, to effectively impart water repellency particularly to a porous inorganic powder or the like, without use of an organic solvent as a dispersion medium of a silicone oil.Water repellent particulates are produced by a first step of adding, to particulates, an aqueous emulsion of a silicon compound such as a silicone oil to apply surface treatment to the particulates with mixing and stirring in a dry state, and a second step of heating the treated particulates to bake the silicon compound on the surface of the particulates and to separate the aqueous medium in the emulsion. The aqueous emulsion of the silicon compound is preferably an aqueous emulsion of any one of methyl hydrogen silicone oil, dimethyl silicone oil, epoxy-modified silicone oil, amino-modified silicone oil, polyether-modified silicone oil and carboxyl-modified silicone oil.

    • To provide a stable water-repellent inorganic powder which is substantially free from re-dissolution of a silicon compound used for surface treatment whether an organic solvent is polar or non-polar.A water-repellent inorganic powder which is surface-treated with a silicon compound, wherein the silicon compound is one having a group reactive with the inorganic powder, and when the inorganic powder is dispersed in any of polar organic solvents and non-polar organic solvents, the retention of the silicon compound is at least 90%. Preferably, the silicon compound is an aqueous emulsion of any of methylhydrogen silicone oil, alkoxy-modified silicone oil, amino-modified silicone oil, epoxy-modified silicone oil, polyether-modified silicone oil or carboxyl-modified silicone oil, and to the aqueous emulsion, at least one surfactant selected from the group consisting of a sorbitan fatty acid ester type, a polyoxyethylene sorbitan fatty acid ester type, a polyethylene glycol fatty acid ester type, a polyoxyethylene fatty acid ester type, an N-acylamino acid type, a polyoxyethylene alkyl ether type and a polyoxyethylene alkylphenyl ether type, is incorporated.

    • An object of this invention is to provide a responsive material gas concentration control system that can be mounted on a bubbling system and that can control a concentration of a material gas in a mixed gas at a constant value even though a partial pressure of the material gas fluctuates. The material gas concentration control system is used for a material evaporation system, and comprises a body that is connected to an outlet line and that has an internal flow channel for flowing the mixed gas, a concentration measuring part that measures the concentration of the material gas in the mixed gas, and a first valve that is arranged downstream of the concentration measuring part and that adjusts the measured concentration measured by the concentration measuring part at a previously determined set concentration, wherein the concentration measuring part and the first valve are mounted on the body.
