    • A fin inspection method comprising a step of having an imaging device capture an image of the core and inputting into an image processing device the image data for storage, a step of setting a first region in the image data in which an image of the entire core is captured and setting a second region in which an image of at least a portion of all of the tubes is captured so as to identify position information of the tubes, a step of setting a third region for fin detection between adjacent tubes based on the identified position information of the tubes, a step of performing binarization and noise removal in the third region to obtain an image of the fins and identifying from the image of the fins the edge position information of the fins along a long direction of the tubes, and a step of performing statistical processing of the pitch intervals based on the edge position information of the fins and judging fin defects.

    • A hologram recording/reproducing device records information onto a medium by a light beam emitted from a laser light source and passing through a forward path, the forward path having optical components in an area extending from the laser light source to the medium, and reproduces the recorded information by the light beam passing through a backward path, the backward path having optical components in an area extending from the medium to an array light detector. The device includes a spatial-light modulator and a first objective lens disposed in the forward path, and a second objective lens and a polarization-dependent diffraction element disposed in the backward path. The modulator generates signal light and reference light from the light beam emitted from the laser light source, the signal light and the reference light being spatially divided from each other and having a common light path. The first objective lens focuses the signal light and the reference light from the modulator onto the medium. The second objective lens forms a hologram image on the light detector based on reproduction light from the medium. The diffraction element is disposed in a hologram real-image plane and diffracts the reference light incident upon the light detector from the second objective lens.

    • Disclosed is a reproduction method for a hologram recording medium on which information is recorded with interference fringes of signal light and reference light, including: generating, based on light from a first light source, the reference light and coherent light caused to have uniform amplitude and phase, and irradiating the hologram recording medium with the reference light and the coherent light, the hologram recording medium including a recording layer on which the information is recorded with the interference fringes of the signal light and the reference light, a first reflection film formed on a lower surface side of the recording layer, and a gap layer formed between the recording layer and the first reflection film; and receiving the coherent light and a reproduction image that corresponds to recording information and is obtained as reflection light from the hologram recording medium through light irradiation in the light irradiation step, and reproducing the information based on a result of the light received.
