    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reforming apparatus having a thermal efficiency improved by heat-insulating as highly as possible the flow passageway of a combustion gas that heats a reforming section.
      SOLUTION: The reforming apparatus 20 is composed of a reforming section 60 which forms a reformed gas from a fuel and leads and discharges it, a combustion section 50 which heats the reforming section 60, and a vaporization section 30 which generates steam and feeds it into the reforming section 60. The reforming section 60 is in the form of a bottomed cylinder, a burner combustion section 52 made from a heat-resistant heat-insulation material is inserted into the recess 60b of the reforming section 60 through a space, and the opening of the burner combustion section 52 is opposed against the bottom of the recess 60b of the reforming section 60. The vaporization section 30 is in the form of a cylinder, is coaxially and spacedly disposed around the outside of the reforming section 60, and a heat-resistant heat-insulation member 55 is provided between the reforming section 60 and the evaporation section 30.
