    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas liquefier for a gas liquefying process using a single refrigerant mixture. SOLUTION: This liquefier includes the first peripheral cooler for cooling and condensing partially a refrigerant mixture flow obtained by compressing the second vaporized refrigerant mixture flow 176, and by compressing it together with the first vaporized refrigerant mixture 114, the first phase separation means 181 for obtaining the first gas phase mixed refrigerant flow and the first liquid phase mixed refrigerant flow from an obtained two-phase mixed refrigerant flow, a means for cooling the first gas phase mixed refrigerant flow obtained by compressing the first gas phase mixed refrigerant flow by the peripheral cooler, for cooling the second gas phase mixed refrigerant flow separated from a partially condensed flow 148 obtained by the partial condensation, by the first and second cooling zones 106, 124, to be condensed, and for pressure-reducing and a liquid mixed refrigerant flow 172 obtained therein to obtain a vaporizing liquid mixed refrigerant, and a means for super-cooling the second separated liquid phase mixed refrigerant flow in the other side in the first cooling zone 106 and for pressure-reducing to generate a liquid mixed refrigerant vaporized at the first intermediate pressure level.
